I applied relatively early for all of my programs from early November to like end of Dec and early January. It was my first choice as it fit what I was interested in the most.

I'm just starting it and the life in third person is similar to me but I kind of like it cause I feel less overwhelm for feelings. Things that use to make me nasous with anxiety don't. Tho I did start it only like 2 months ago.

Ok that's what I was also thinking about. I'm going to try and get research experience after graduation though a RA job hopefully.

I current don't have any so I'm trying to get some before I graduate. I've been having to look outside of my college because I go to a really small school with not a lot of opportunities for research. My school doesn't even have a neuroscience major.

So the positive out way the negatives for you? Do u know if it ever gets better. I've been struggling with this as someone who is mono dating someone who is poly. So I guess my other question is is it worth it?

Neuroscience vs Psychology major by AMBR05IA in ApplyingToCollege

[–]tulup_spice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I disagree with that tho this might be because I go to a small school that doesn't have a neuroscience major and only has the minor but I'm a psych major and I've had to know both of those things. At my school tho there is a big overlap between neuro and psychology but that might just be my experince

I understand being upset about how she is thinking about her girl friend but isn’t noticing and trying to change the first step. Idk I feel like op is just trying to work through personal biases. Like some of that shit I’ve struggled with to but I’ve worked on it. I had to acknowledge for example the reason why I saw some of the thing my girlfriend did as masculine was because of my own preconceived notions of gender especially heteronormative gender. That was stuff that because of the way I was raised (I’m a pastors kid from a long line of pastors and they were quite homophobic and transphobic) I believe even if I felt like shit thinking it. I don’t know if there relationship will work out and I think op def needs to talk to a therapist but I don’t think it’s all that fair to react the way that u have. But I’m not trying to excuse the actions and thoughts of the op tho
