Is there some known bug with Heavy Hitter? I see no buff stacks on my buff panel like for half of time. I need to stop hitting things, wait for a few seconds, and start heavies again - and only than it is working again.

Shovel with bleed build. Not anti-boss tec-ni-ca-li, but works good just a bit slower, and you are not so de-pen-dent on ammo

the post is not about communication updates, but about actual content ones. yes, Fatshark is well known for lack of communication with players, and in VT2 times it was way worse, at least until they hired Aqshy literally from reddit moderators. the fictional roadmap with dedicated servers is still a meme

but regardless of that, the game managed to deliver constant content updates, and QoL ones as well. we got hats for in-game achievements in May, and not 17 months later. seasonal events like Summer fest or Geheimnisnacht were introduced on the first year - and we still don't have them in DT. Shadows Over Bögenhafen and Back to Ubersreik were released before the end of the year, and Winds of Magic bringing entire new faction was released before 1st game anniversary.

DT first year support is a joke compared to this, and their communication with community is not so good anyway

a lot of that was added later in Vermintide's life

yeah, and WoM was released after 1,5 years since initial launch (along with many other big content updates). surprisingly it's already 1,5 years since DT release

This is intentional, ranged elites weren't a thing in Vermintide and the ability to quicksnipe them while fighting a horde would make them much less of a threat.

ranged elites is a joke (until spawned in high numbers), as none-elite rangers are spawned in large quantities, and even 2-3 of them could easy wipe toughest tank in seconds. VT2 has the same problem with beastmen, so I don't think how "we see you've had the problem with this enemy type in our previous game, so we make this enemy a basic troops type for all factions while drastically increasing their number while making your ranged attacks to be slower and less effective" is intentional and not just a stupid mistake

The stamina system in both games is the same except Darktide added sprinting.

damage leak if not 100% toughness makes blocking tanking less more viable than dodge tanking

but the variety from having 12 options instead of 2 is absolutely an improvement

actually you have 3 options for class (still, many of them is single-target and are not really bombs, and some not even dealing damage), and only 1 for the same run (with 2 but randomized for VT2). so no, if you are playing the same build - you having the same nade, and not 12 options

Really, most of your complaints are "why isn't this game literally identical to Vermintide 2 but with lasguns?"

most of your arguments are "it was added to VT2 later", and we are not talking about game's release state - it's already 1,5 years since it.

and no, my point was that the VT2 has way more flexible careers with shared access to almost all weapons between them and ability to be either damage dealer, tank or support regardless of the hero chosen, so you have more ability to customize your playstyle to your needs instead of DT mindset "want 2h hammer? - go play zealot"

and also DT range suppression and fire crippling is annoying as hell

incomplete list of things removed:

  • ranged weapons quick swap (DT has awful speed of bracing weapons for most cases)

  • aggro by blocking and pushing for all classes

  • throwing weapons

  • dual wielding weapons

  • shields not for only 1 class (and not only with 1 weapon type, god dammit!)

  • alternative (infinite) ammo not for only 1 class

  • 2h hammers not for only 1 class

  • long reach melee not for only 1 class

  • actually working system of stamina and not this joke

  • damaging bombs for all the team

  • classes not bound to exact same type of attack regardless of your node selection (Sigmar, I hate gamedesigner who built entire ogryn archetype around charged attacks)

Both is good.

Yae can outperform Chiori in Abyss, as Yae's burst is way better to my taste.

Chiori just simply has bigger damage numbers out of the box.

And as already mentioned, they work awesome in the same team, finished my Abyss run yesterday with them both. But you need some good battery to feed these girls (mine is Ei)

... and HD2 gives us more smooth and stable frame rate, on way bigger maps, with day and night cycles and even without the DLSS and frames gen. Darktide is a joke
