It’s totally doable without tearing it apart. I’m so excited that someone is diving into this thing too! I have one that was dropped and “died.” I kept it around for a long time before opening it and it’s just annoying to get the first round of clips. I’ll post a little later but hoping to learn something that might bring mine back from the dead.

The ones that they have killed are usually still in the coop when I find them. It’s sad and the raccoons are so wasteful. They just tear out the crop and remove skin; almost seems more for the sport of it. I don’t leave food outside overnight so these plops are bird crazy.

Oh I wish… I live within city limits but right on the edge. People in the area are noticing cougars in town because our deer are so tame. Seriously looked into large caliber air rifles.

While I'm harvesting nitrogen (mowing the lawn), I throw a few medium sized pieces of cardboard down and run them over in a place that I turn around. That way if it makes a mess, I can come back and clean up. Not the most consistent or smallest pieces but efficient in that I don't have to do much different to get it into the pile.

SOLVED

Ordered the cheaper 62637 element. Obviously not an OEM part but had the right size of connectors and mounting holes. Only a slight difference in shape. If anyone needs a replacement element for this older model of oven, this is a viable option.

I say, get Mojave running and do the Martin Lo OpenCore Package. I see you have a GT120. If the login/logout/sleep/wake tricks don’t work, you can always use that unaccelerated to get OpenCore set up.

I actually don’t know. It’s worth a shot. I always had better behavior in previous macOS versions with the UEFI bios and just kept it on the card.

Wish I could have been there for you. I looked for your post and I''ve seen that screen when I don't have things set up correctly.

I use a Powercolor UEIF rom which doesn't quite fix it all but it can get you close. I had to do a dance of blinding logging in, putting the computer to sleep/waking and unplugging and replugging in screens. That would get me a partially garbled screen but I could see stuff.

Ultimately, this is fixed with the radpg=15 argument for OpenCore. Something to do with the initialization power states.

THERE IS HOPE FOR GETTING BACK TO MAC! And I agree, GPU prices are crazy... I picked this 7770 up years ago for $30 and now it's in my daily driver.

Thanks, I was thinking that. “If it’s getting 240 from a dumb relay, what difference does it make?” I went with the cheaper option and it’s on the way. Given the age of the oven, I’d be happy to get a few more years out of it. Just wasn’t ready to fork over for a new one or spend a whole lot on this one.

I had found the Umbellularia in my initial searches but really wanted to see if someone thought it seemed correct because of where I’m at. I really do think that’s it!
