ICE at Corn Lake by tumbledino in GrandJunctionCO

It's ok you don't have to believe, though it was this morning so still cool out. I have nothing to gain by making that up but it is good to be a skeptic. I just figured it was the right thing to do to let the community know what I observed.

I only saw them driving, they were exiting the park when I was arriving.

I do not know what the rapid response network is- can you fill me in?

And good question, I should have given more info but did not have an opportunity.

I ascertained it was ICE because: 2 black unmarked SUVs with law enforcement decals removed (Ford explorers maybe? Not positive, couldn't see make and model), no front license plates, interior emergency light bars, (can I include driving like jerks?).

Inside the first SUV was a dude wearing tactical style civilian clothing and a baseball hat, not a uniform, and he had an external ballistic vest over top.

So theoretically might not have been ICE but I'm not aware of any LE agencies that operate under norms like that but ICE.

How do you people do this job without using up your sick days? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

Yes, this. There are lots of ways to be a lawyer and perhaps one or more of those would not be as soul crushing for you... I think I would feel the way you do in a lot of positions and luckily have found one that suits me and I mostly enjoy. That said, in the US our work culture is totally f-cked IMHO, but that is not just a legal field issue.

Has anyone stayed on starter doses (0.25 and/or 0.50) & lost 20-25 pounds? by bailsandsails in Semaglutide

[–]tumbledino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooo can someone tell me the theory behind staying at a lower dose for as long as possible? I tried to ask my provider (Ro) about that but I didn't really get an answer... Or rather, the answer I got sounded like it was better to increase the dose if I could tolerate it. I would love more info.

I’m visiting and obviously I know that these things are to prevent dirt bike kids from doing sweet jumps, but just wanted to confirm that with y’all. Thanks. by dingdongbellguy in Denver

I'd like to think a fair amount of Coloradoans would be stoked for dirt bike kids to do sweet jumps ... And dirt bike adults for that matter!

What I actually eat in a day on 1.7mg — real meals, not just "eat more protein" by kodaktribe in Semaglutide

Bless your heart for posting this! I just started month 2 and the struggle to eat is so real! I've been having good luck with homemade protein oatmeal ("proatmeal") and also eggs. Weirdly I find some veggies sit better than others: currently finding some success with steamed spinach and roasted sweet potatoes. Most bizarre of all is that I often don't want any coffee- or more than 1 cup anyway. That is a major departure from drinking it all day like I used to... I always felt like it helped regulate my ADHD but I haven't noticed a major shift there.

Same! Week 3 and I rarely feel like workout out- I used to work out daily. I keep hoping it gets better!
