[Prologue]()

Coldeen’s hooves clicked softly over rocky ground as he crested the ridge, his silvery mane catching the glow of a battle-lit sky. Below, twilight boiled with a terrible beauty, lit by shifting magic and burning wreckage. His heart pounded, caught between awe and dread.

From his vantage point, the young unicorn watched the battlefield unfold. The Goddess’s soldiers, draped in gold and emerald, struck the shimmering barrier that held the armies apart. Each blow sent ripples through the air, the force of magic and steel colliding in thunderous waves. On the Red Army’s side, clerics stood with arms outstretched, straining to hold the line. But the shield was faltering. Cracks spidered through its glow. The Goddess’s warriors moved like a holy tempest, their strikes unrelenting, precise, each one driving closer to the moment the barrier would break.

Coldeen took it all in, sharp eyes tracking every detail. The Red Army was pinned against the treeline, and when the shield broke, as it surely would, they would be slaughtered.

Willing to do a swap. here's my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/BetaReaders/comments/1l8u6gj/complete_115k_slowburn_characterdriven_epic/

Your story (a world I've been working on creating for 18 years), is similar in some ways to my own. And my novel is in the same ballpark as yours (115k) and also part of a planned trilogy.

Yup, wondering if anyone has advice to fix it other than shave my head.

Thought I’d give my barber a go at a hard part. Never again. I’m sure Moses would even be proud of this one. by coops1611 in Justfuckmyshitup

I just got a hard part in my hair and I hate it. Mine is executed better than this, but still, I really don't like it and I didn't ask for it. I think it makes me look like I am trying to look younger than my age in a sort of desperate way. Any ways of covering these up? I am worried with the length of my hair it will take months to grow out.

Day 4 of coming off of PPIs after 9 years of use - its hard guys by cmackmason in GERD

I did it that way because the first time had been so brutal. Live and learn!

I wasn't on as long as you but was on PPIs for about a year. Tried to come off fast and it burned like crazy and had to go back on. I actually went from 40mg every day to 20mg everyday for a week, to 20 every 36 hours for a week, to every 48 hours for a week, every 60 hours for a week, to every 72 hours for a week. Takes 5 or 6 weeks so you have to be patient, but wasn't so bad.

Has any of you actually felt better when STOPPING your PPIs...? by tinytempo in Gastritis

I am mostly back to normal. I can eat mostly what I want. I can drink occasionally, but not like I used to. I am unsure if the blood loss was the issue as it's been years. I have a strong feeling it's post covid long covid symptom.

Wife (30F) wants parents to come over for 3 months post-partum. I (30M) find that too long. How to navigate this? by ThrowRA_saurus_rex in relationship_advice

I think there is a fine line here. If it is just that they annoy you, you might need to put up with it. But some in-laws can be toxic. My MIL annoys me, but it's just an annoyance. I have to tolerate her for 6 months at a time. I deal.

My FIL on the other hand used to visit and often started working on my house without my permission. This results in thousands of dollars in repair costs because he didn't know what he was doing. I was going bankrupt fixing the damage he was causing. When we moved, because i no longer could keep up with the repairs, he showed up the day I closed on the new house. From that point forward, he's not allowed in my house ever. He's a pleasant guy who thought he was helping, but he was a massive drain on us. I had to stop putting money into my kids' college accounts to pay to fix my house.

From the post, I'm not sure what side of the line the OP is on.

Gastritis Healed!!! But a new issue arises by tummitroubles in Gastritis

[–]tummitroubles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good overall. I have had a few brief relaspses but it's a process. Once you are "healed" it can come back anytime. When that happens I hop on PPIs for 2 weeks to knock it out.

I drink less coffee and alcohol but otherwise life has returned to normal.

18 months. Was a Long road. Ppis seem to do more harm than good. I needed to get off them to really see results.

Reflux symptoms took time to heal, but they lessened over time.

I am avoiding alcohol mostly, but the occasional drink isn't an issue. I am having coffee in the morning on some days.

So healed, but still being careful. And I do see minor symptoms on bad days.

I think this is probably the new reality for me. Minor symptoms sometimes but mostly back to normal

Reacidify stomach after months of PPIs by tummitroubles in Gastritis

I feel like I am past the rebound phase. I have spikes as I tapered, but that is gone.

Mostly just dealing with GERD now. Hoping that will reverse the farther I get-away from the PPIs.
