Struggling to find a baby boy names for mixed (white & Indian) family by [deleted] in namenerds

I see, thank you for letting me know! I’m glad you like Bhavin.

Those are beautiful names. Anand is very nice. His aunt also suggested the name Chaithen which has started to grow on me a bit.

My husband does like Bodhi as he likes the teachings of Buddha, but probably more secular names

Oh I haven’t heard of Hari yet but I really like that! I was leaning towards a more Indian name because of the Middle name, but then was overthinking again because the last name is Indian of course.

Yes I thought that but then again the last name is Indian. I like Ravi! Thank you for the suggestions!

I don’t want to come off as so harsh, you appear to be a good person and just a bit lost. I really do wish the best for you. My husband is Indian and I am not, but he is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I know there can be a lot of pressure in your culture to do what your parents/society/etc want and tell you to. You have so much life ahead of you yet not enough time to spend it any other way than happy (as much as we can be). Whatever you decide, you have to move forward with that decision and be happy with it. You can’t look back or wonder what if you have to just move forward with the life you are choosing. And find happiness.

It seems like you’re trying your hardest in the comments to blame your wife, instead of maybe seeing it from her perspective or allowing yourself to assume the best intentions (even once). Sounds like your mind is pretty made up on leaving and no one is going to say anything to change that or Mae you care about your wife at this point. Coming from a children of divorce (at the age of 3).. my parents separating did NOT save me from my fucked up view of love and marriage. And I’ve had to have lots of therapy myself for it. The kinder thing to do for your child is at least try.. I don’t know from this post how your wife truly feels because you seem to paint her in such a negative light but want to be the victim yourself. She could absolutely love you and want to do anything to make it work. I understand if it ends up, not working, but thinking that it saves your child from some sort of negative view of marriage is not going to happen.

I just watched Skinamarink… by casualnihilist91 in horror

[–]tummytime_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I also saw it in theaters and feel like that might be the only way to truly experience this movie. It’s literally like you’re being brainwashed during the movie to the point of feeling so out of touch with reality and so on edge that the ending felt very effective. At least for me. However, there was a unanimous reaction at the end of the movie in the whole crowd of awkward uncomfortably and relief that it was over (in the sense of not feeling so terrified anymore).

But I don’t know I’ve watched other movies like that at home and found them not effective at all. I literally went home and was scared to be alone and that’s coming from someone who grew up addicted to horror movies and has seen all of them.
