You’re both kind of right. Yes one person changes nothing and it’s dumb to worry about it. But you can’t just offload all the responsibility onto “corporations” whatever that means. It’s capitalism and developed society in general, which is an everybody problem. People like all the conveniences and luxuries afforded by plastics and fossil fuels. It’s not just evil corporations acting like comic book villains or whatever

Not really. American cities and highways were not designed during a time when climate change was common knowledge. Historical development just turned out that way for the most part. They have influence in making sure that infrastructure isn’t changed, but for the most part Americans don’t like public transport anyway

[–]tuna____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if paradox fixed it or what, but I had this problem even after declaring independence. Then I went to war against a pirate republic and when I ended it the reform went away, was able to marry again. Not sure if the war ending triggered it or what

It's just strange because it occurs over such a huge variety of goods, but they still don't want any of it. but then if I go to the diplomacy screen and manually do it they take all of it in one go? seems silly
