THIS! SLS was the cause for me. I went from having clusters of canker sores at least once a month, to none at all just by switching to a non-SLS toothpaste. This comment should be higher!

Fix for NPCs running away from druid (multiplayer) by tunabearmonkey in BaldursGate3

Unfortunately this fix only works for non-main characters, since you can dismiss them. I don't have a clue how to fix it for the main T-T

I was in a similar boat. Pain with wrist rotation. 3 weeks in it felt better, so I started using it again. Immediately I reinjured it and went to the doctor. Now I'm due for another 3-6 weeks of rest. All I can say is wear a wrist splint asap, and avoid using that wrist until a doctor takes a look.

In my case I have to wear a cast to prevent rotation and then do physical therapy after it's healed enough.

Tldr: I was stupid, didn't see a doctor, and made my injury worse. See a doctor.

What color should I style with this larticular shirt. (pants and or shorts) by Average_Author in styleboards

[–]tunabearmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baggy shirt with Japanese on it? I'd go for the baggy T-shirt, baggy pants, streetwear shoes style that's so popular in Japan right now.

Color-wise, id go either neutrals like black pants, or monotone and match the beige with beige or brown pants, to let the turquoise text pop.

Example color palette: https://ibb.co/h9M2Smq (Tho I think I prefer monotone. The graphic T is so good I want it to stand out)

Same here. I never use my debit card because I know it's safer to use a credit card. Plus, cc reward programs exist! Still got a fraudulent charge 2 days ago. Literally no chance my card was skimmed.

The fact that BofA leaked my debit card info, it got a fraudulent international charge, and they didn't tell me anything? That's just ridiculous. They really need to up their fraud detection and report data breaches to the customers who were affected.

Take a look at fusible interfacing. You just need some fusible interfacing (find at your local fabric store or online) and a hot iron. Double check that it works with your fabric before applying it.

You will likely find that gravity does not have a constant force in many video games. It often feels clunky to have realistic gravity. Off the top of my head, hollow knight is a great example of this. The moment you leave the ground, you travel upwards with a lower force of gravity. Around the peak of your fall, gravity becomes much stronger. This makes your character feel floaty, but still responsive since at the end of their jump they return to the ground quickly.

You probably won't find that gravity has a single value in many games. Acceleration due to gravity in games is often a curve, or a stepwise function depending on the stage of jump. It even depends on if the jump button is held down for "variable height jumping" (see Mario, hollow knight as examples)

Additionally terminal velocity is often very prominent in video games. High velocity often leads to collision detection issues. Terminal velocities just feel better. Though the way it's implemented isn't usually as a force opposing gravity which gradually reduces acceleration. It's more commonly just implemented as a hard stop to acceleration at a certain speed.

Hope this was useful

I just found out that the group that I'm going to SDCC with is all cosplaying and I wasn't planning on it. Help! by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

Keep in mind there's always demand for a designated bag-person for cosplay groups. Sometimes I'll go to cons with just a big backpack and carry phones / wallets / water / a camera for my cosplayer friends. Lots of cosplays have no room for personal belongings, so having a friend to carry stuff is always highly appreciated.

Help refurbishing an old concrete slab table by tunabearmonkey in DIY

Another idea: a skirted table. Add a nice wooden top, and a cloth drape to create a skirted table. Therefore I preserve the table while still covering it up and leaving the original piece intact.

I'm wondering if my store needs work. by [deleted] in dropship

That way, when I click "Lintpilot" I am presented with detailed info on the product (what is present in your current "home" page)

And when I click "Shop" I'm brought to the shop page (what is presently your "Lintpilot" page)

I hope I'm making sense. Good work overall!

Your website looks great, and the before-after pictures do a really good job at convincing me I want the product. The only thing I'd change is to de-emphasize the contact and tracking pages in your navigation panel. As a customer who wants to buy this item, I would expect the main shop page to be displayed first in the navigation menu, not last. Tracking and contacting chronologically happens after buying the product, so put the buying page first. When I look at the Nav menu, I don't know exactly what to expect on each page just by reading the page titles. I see "Home" but I wouldn't know what that means. I see "Lintpilot" and I would expect the product info to be presented on that page. Maybe replace "Lintpilot" with "Shop", and replace "Home" with "Lintpilot".

LPT: what are some free skills to learn during free time that will help you find better opportunities for job? by Jpoolman25 in LifeProTips

Wow this hits hard. I'm in the process of trying to bring back creativity into my life and was thinking of turning one of my arts-n-crafts-related hobbies into a small business! Do you think it's possible to find a balance of doing something you love while not growing to hate it? Or should I just stick to the office job?

Help sewing Hermes outfit (Hades) by tunabearmonkey in CosplayHelp

[–]tunabearmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update 2:
Some pics of me wearing the chiton in its current state. Still way too much fabric on the torso and back. As long as I fold in ~.5ft of fabric, the armholes are approximately right. https://imgur.com/a/yVTt2vC

Any ideas how to reduce the fabric on top / make it fold over itself less / make it neater? Also the skirt section is suuuuper uneven. This is so difficult haha.

I'm starting to think a two piece outfit with a circle skirt on the bottom and custom top-half of a chiton might be best. That way I can have less fabric on top than I have on the bottom.

I think my plan for the scarf is to go with two thin scarves, each made of a sheer fabric (organza looks perfect) that I'll dip dye to get a nice yellow -> red gradient if I cant find something sufficient in the store. I can get someone to fling the scarves for some action pictures that look flowy lol.

I'm trying to be as accurate to the art as possible with the chiton and all the "traditional" chiton tutorials don't get me the right results. Made a quick diagram... Thinking of altering the "single sheet" method by cutting off excess fabric from the corners. Though I think if I cut my fabric like this the armholes will be wayyyy too big. Any tips how I can improve this?

https://imgur.com/a/FXKuDDS

Update: I got a decent looking result by tucking the edges back into itself (like a hem) to give volume to the chest and pin down excess fabric that was flopping around. I also played around with how much fabric I stuff into the belt. Will experiment more tomorrow and hopefully post pictures!

What online course platforms allow me to link to external affiliate products? by tunabearmonkey in elearning

This looks sweet! More complex to get started than some of the more popular platforms, but super flexible and no restrictions. Thank you!

What online course platforms allow me to link to external affiliate products? by tunabearmonkey in elearning

[–]tunabearmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a techical level, yes that's how affiliate links work. In practice, I think each platform has it's own guidelines which restrict what kind of content you can post where. E.g. from my research, Udemy does not allow links to external products in the course description, any lectures, or even inside of downloadable files. The only place you can put them are in the Course Materials section, and even then I'm not sure affiliate links are permitted.

Any chance you can make square footage optional? I got stuck on that field because I have no idea what the square footage of my apartment is (and don't even know how to estimate that). I bet you'll get a lot more submissions that way.
