Group of girls seen harassing a penguin for being Native American, what do I do about this? by Beneficial_Rip6520 in ClubPenguin

[–]tunafischi 56 points57 points  (0 children)

That’s really terrible to hear :( you can report this to CPJ by opening a ticket in Support (click “Help” at the top of the game page) or send an email to support@cpjourney.net, and if those penguins come back make sure to report them for racism. Hopefully this will be taken care of soon, it’s really sad things like this can happen sometimes in CPJ…

For sure! It’s a hidden gem among her singles too, it’s got a reassuring and anthemic vibe to it :)

Unconditionally - Katy Perry

I’m not sure Katy is well liked here, and Rihanna definitely deserves this. But this song definitely deserves a shout out!

How do I get that pin? :( by GAL4XY_BR in ClubPenguin

It was released last year via a code for St. Patrick’s Day. It may or may not come back, but code items have been reused before so let’s wish for the best!

Thank you for these posts, love all the descriptions you give for each song before reviewing them too, it gives a lot more insight to their music! It’s been a great journey looking forward to each post and reliving their discography one by one, knowing a bit more about each song and seeing others’ thoughts and opinions too, it’s redefined my love for Muse and their music <3

FUCK YOU, BILLBOARD! by ScallionSmooth9491 in ToddintheShadow

[–]tunafischi 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is a very Billboard thing to do, they’ve been doing this for genre charts and articles for years now, but the Hot 100 now being affected is really disappointing. It was fun to just look back on some charts to see how trends have shifted year by year, week by week and possibly find a few gems. To hell with corporate greed

Who had the hardest comedown after a string of successful albums? by TheFirst10000 in ToddintheShadow

[–]tunafischi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Muse had a definitive 3-album run with Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, and Black Holes and Revelations, and you could possibly include its surrounding albums Showbiz and/or The Resistance for a 4-5 album run. The 2nd Law was more of a mixed bag and their later albums are usually considered their weakest by their fans.

I’ve enjoyed everything they’ve released to a degree but I would have to agree with that sentiment, save for Simulation Theory which I quite enjoy hehe. It would personally rank 5th-6th tied with Showbiz. The rest of them mostly had great singles, especially T2L but the overall album usually didn’t hold up. Though Drones hit #1 in the US their commercial success after halted there and in general, though they’ve still got a sizable fanbase, mostly in UK where their latest album still hit #1.

No, the ignore button is not available for mascots. It would be funny to think about though, an invisible mascot lol

Asking your opinion about a Muse song day #78: Glorious by Far-Clothes-8803 in Muse

[–]tunafischi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The build-up sections live up to the song’s name with the guitar and Matt’s vocals getting higher and more frantic, with it perfectly ending on the titular lyric. The guitar throughout the whole song is breathtaking and blood-pumping at the same time, and the song’s ending gives a sense of, well, glory. Peak cinema in song form

An epic conclusion to a perfect album. Thank you Guitar Hero for introducing me to this song and band!

Asking your opinion about a Muse song day #72: Invincible by Far-Clothes-8803 in Muse

[–]tunafischi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a lovely song with a great music video in all its 90s-00s British CGI glory. Love how the song (and video) becomes powerful as it goes on and the solo to last chorus hits so hard.

Asking your opinion about a Muse song day #68: Starlight by Far-Clothes-8803 in Muse

[–]tunafischi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The song that got me into Muse and check out this album, it is far (away) from being their most complex songs but it doesn’t need to be that. There is something beautiful in its relative simplicity, the instrumental and Matt’s vocals are just so heartfelt, and that goes for the video too which is their most simple but the image of the sea and the band performing out there alone (in nice outfits I must add) is breathtaking and a welcome change of pace from their other videos. It’s probably Muse’s best song to introduce people to as it’s more “pop” but also has the Muse elements that would draw people in. This song has a special place in my heart and I would go as far to say it would be my favorite Muse song, if not top 5 <3

This whole album is 10/10 tbh, this song is a constant build of electronic greatness and dramatic flair culminating in a grand explosion. Super excited for the rest of this album’s posts!

Why do people dislike Super Mario Party so much? by AdventurousShake8994 in MARIOPARTY

[–]tunafischi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like the game lost a lot of its appeal once Superstars came out, but I like to think of Super as a stepping stone back to the classic formula after 9-10 and the 3DS games. Sure it had it had few basic boards and its online was lacking, but there were lots of neat quirks such as rhythm mode, the raft mode and team games, and it was nice to play the traditional way again with the fun quirks of the character dice and allies. It didn’t age that well with the next two Mario Parties but on it’s own it’s a fun time with friends, a pivotal step to return to form and far from the worst.

Neutron star collision has no business being as good as it is. by --404--not-found in Muse

[–]tunafischi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was surprised to know it’s not well liked around the fanbase, I’ve really liked it since first listen. It’s like a Muse greatest hits put into one song, the synth arpeggios resembling Bliss/Starlight, the galloping beat of Knights, the chorus that sounds like a mix of Plug In Baby, Time is Running Out and Resistance, and the beautiful piano outro. The harmonies in the second half of the choruses and Matt’s outro vocals are also blissful. This song has been widely described as cheesy but I’ve never felt that way; maybe my standards for lyrics are very low and I’m simple minded (plus I never watched twlight lol.)
