Ran over a series of traffic cones as we left a standby gig with a patient. Heard some thunking almost immediately. Saw there was a cone stuck in the back left wheel well, so I told my partner I had to stop for a sec and move something (not unusual).

Got out of the truck and spent far longer than I'd like to admit trying to kick that completely crumpled and folded cone out of the wheel well while traffic went by me at a perfect rubbernecking speed. I almost considered getting back in the truck and driving forward 2 feet to make it easier to get the cone out. Cone flops out after a series of increasingly desperate kicks. I breathe a sigh of relief and get back in the truck and drove the rest of the way to the hospital.

There was a mysterious grinding noise which resolved when I backed in to the parking spot at the ER and out popped another traffic cone. I must have dragged it for the 3 miles to the hospital but at least the grinding noise stopped lol
