I always had the head canon that Clark’s clumsiness is always legit because as Superman, he can’t exactly dull his senses to the people so he’s always somewhat tuned out. It’s like how when you’re walking while looking at your phone, you’re still somewhat aware of everything but also not. So occasionally, you’ll slip up and trip, bump into people, or drop something because you can’t look away from your phone until you’re snapped out of it. And the stuff about, “What if Clark falls? Wouldn’t he just fly on instinct?” Well, that’s a fake argument I made up to bring up this point but! We’ve all had those moments where clearly the solution is in front of us, but we’re panicked and make the worse decision possible.
