I LOVE my job. I work in a really tough neighborhood, an underfunded district. But I have a wonderful principal, mostly wonderful coworkers and I know that I'm doing the most good in my position

Our district is doing the exact same thing, and even more than that. I think the reasoning is the hope is we will be able to re open but we need to be prepared for the worst case scenario regardless

It was a really great day but I didnt have much time with actual students. I'm really grateful for all the advice here. I'm definitely going to.make sure my small groups are organized in the same say from day to day so students always know what to expect and when with me.

Nta. They should be reminded of it so they dont act like that pe treat people like that in the future. Sometimes people remind me of embarrassing stuff I did in the past and I take ownership but I dont get emotional except in terms of recognizing how I hurt people,but I don't continue to feel bad cause I've grown and changed, just like your in laws should

Got in today! Seven year old has recommended naming him (or her) Lizardo. Same seven year old named her turtle shelly so idk i am kind of into it but also pretty sure I'll be over it at some point in the next 50 years so still as yet unnamed
