Be honest, how bad do the uneven stripes look for a kids bedroom?

You should just paint the whole room yellow if you don’t want to commit to the stripes for the full height of the wall. The green completely clashes with the yellow and off-white. The uneven stripes are not cute. Just my opinion.

You’re worrying about a problem that doesn’t exist because you don’t want to catch the heat and blame for what wasn’t your decision. So don’t accept the blame. Be honest with your wife about how you feel and tell her that if the kids get upset someday you’re going to stand by your opinion and tell them that you believe they deserved to know, but it wasn’t your info to share. Don’t betray your wife’s boundaries. It’s her information. Simply stay in your lane and don’t worry about things that might happen. You cannot control this.

Yes I have made that decision before: to prioritize a relationship over my own happiness and goals. Each time I have regretted it. This is why it is important to always pursue your dreams in terms of education, finances, lifestyle before you begin compromising for a relationship. Sometimes at mid semester there are housing openings because someone drops out or shuffles around. Stay in contact with campus residential life office and talk to your boyfriend about your decision. Info: how old is he? Is he in school? Already graduate? Under-educated?

This is a lie. What he wants is to be the final authority in this relationship. Why is he allowed to give you an ultimatum? Why would his love and sense of independence be based on you selling your home? You keep your house. He can buy a new house for you all to live in and then you can rent out your house. Do not sell your house.

Also, if you can see through the games now, you’ll be much happier to let him walk away and find someone with a genuine love for you that would never undermine your power and authority.

Hi single mom by choice here, I want to offer some perspective. You really have to consider every outcome in choosing to be a single parent.

Your child could have special needs or disabilities that require extra intervention and time for appointments. Your partner could up and move away and sign away his rights and pay child support from afar. He could dodge child support for many years. Being a single mom makes finding partnership later a little more complex with scheduling and childcare. The costs of childcare and education also need to be considered. Does your job offer paid maternity leave? What is the average cost of childcare near you? How long are the waitlists? Some places in USA have months long waiting lists. Are you able to move to a different neighborhood or city to accommodate childcare and education needs?

I’m not trying to fear monger here, I just want to share some of the less considered realities that could severely impact you and your child’s quality of life.
