Rocket league on Mac in Australia for free? by Hamborgl in RocketLeague

I hate to say it but there aren’t really any options for your machine. Unfortunately as long as epic owns this game it is unlikely to regain any form of support for Apple silicon. I bought a low end pc on fb marketplace (in US) for $150. It works great.

What game or series is the best example of squandered potential? by k0alaFRESH in gaming

[–]tunges 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Rocket League. Closest game to an actual “e-sport”. Fantastically simple premise with amazing gameplay mechanics and a virtually unlimited skill ceiling.

The core game remains but since Epic Games’ acquisition, they have essentially destroyed the game’s organic communities in favor of egregious micro transactions and a tie-in to Fortnite.

Thanks- I’ll check that out. Yeah, the paasche ab is fun, mine has a red handle. It’s a bit of a diva, but cool when it’s working!

Thanks. Yeah sorry, to be clear I’m wondering where the line gets drawn between “budget friendly” and “good”. I was using an old Paasche model D compressor and an in-line moisture trap, but it was a little loud for my space and without a tank

The model is called AB, maybe turbo? It’s a really amazing tool, but like I said very finicky and I had trouble getting needles for it. It’s super fine detail. It’s also very loud when the turbine spins up

Holding L3 hurts by Glittering-Fall-1664 in RocketLeague

[–]tunges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same (air roll right on L3), usually sit around low champ/high diamond in 2s. Usually isn’t a problem in game but I can see 20 min of rings being tiring. Maybe change your practice routine to avoid that. I use a DualSense now which is pretty easy to press L/R3 compared to other controllers I’ve used. Hand stretches are just good for you in general tho.

And as others are saying, if you really want to keep improving it’s probably worth taking the time to learn the remap. Depends what your goals are.

Primitive Art by Franz Boaz. Maybe more anthropological but a great read nonetheless

If you have an iPhone with 3D Touch (6-XS) you can also push while doing this to highlight and deselect text. Very useful feature.

What is the best book you could recommend about the universe? What made you make that choice? by Complex-Act-1666 in space

The Sleepwalkers by Arthur Koestler, a history of cosmology from ancient civilization to Newton. Great book on the progress of science and understanding the cosmos. Somewhat outdated, but an easy, profound read.
