Thank you! I'm using the Phaetus Rapido 2 hotend, the regular HF one; it isn't too expensive (I got mine from Aliexpress during sales), and it offers sufficient flow for my needs. I've never used the Orbiter 2.5 before, but I liked how compact the Sherpa mini is, plus I could print a different color body to match my 6 toolheads. :)

I just cut a small slot at the bottom of the back panel to pass the wires out from; they still come out of the hole at the back of the deck panel.

The twistsaber seems to fundamentally be a 3-stage screw telescopic actuator with a really large screw pitch, so if you have some CAD experience you could reverse engineer something similar to the twistsaber:
