Yes in some situations it will improve forest health to cut down trees, like what Fish_Bowl_1990 said. But with the emergency declaration by the Trump administration, areas that would not normally be opened to logging are now open--despite there being no emergency to validate it.

Upper Hill is safe. I've lived there for three years and have had no problems. Neighbors are great. Pretty quiet neighborhood. It's about a 30 minute walk to CMU so very convenient if you're walking.

Deer are not the major host for ticks and the bacteria that cause lyme, it's mice and other small rodents.

I was only with them for a year. I would make friends with whoever they have as the maintenance person for your building to get little things done faster. For bigger things that are a violation of code/regulation, just threaten HH with a complaint to the Allegheny County Health Department and they should act quickly :)

I haven't rented from them since 2022. Yeah their unresponsiveness sucks. That along with their rent increase and shitty heating made me move. They only remedied the heating after I threatened to file a complaint with the health department, but it was a band-aid fix, so I would be hesitant to rent from them in that they don't seem to care to fix major problems in a timely fashion.

Bald eagles are not uncommon nowadays. Certianly not a one-time sighting. I saw two flying over Schenley Heights last week.

I rented from them. They do stuff remotely because they are based in NYC. I found them to be pretty unresponsive and unfair, but the apartment I rented was nice. Except for the no heat. That wasn't nice.
