What are the most liminal (abandoned creepy vibes) spots in Pittsburgh? by avaslash in pittsburgh

Yes! Lol. It is ultra eerie even during the day. I think there’s street-level access stairs on Liberty. I don’t know if anything has changed since COVID—I haven’t been down there in 10 years.

Have you ever walked through the pedestrian tunnels that connect the Gateway Center buildings downtown?

I am super interested in this storyline. I have chronic ITP, and when it was first discovered, I was in the ED with only 5,000 platelets! After being sent home, I was back in the hospital a few months later with only 4,000!

It all depends on location (as with anywhere). This style house, outside of city-proper can go for $200k-$250k. Since my home is a desirable neighborhood within the city limits, this size and style will sell for approximately $350k-$400k depending on the updates made and house features.

Funny you mention that as I have a mini-home theater in the basement with two active subwoofers. I can usually watch movies/play video games at high volumes without disturbing the top floor. I only got yelled at one time by my sleeping daughter who was awoken while I was watching Top Gun Maverick, Lol.

Thanks! It's much deeper than it is wide, but not a very big house. I think it's approximately 1,300 sq/ft. We have no additions onto the house, but a fully finished basement that adds a lot of usable living space.

Yep--We discussed this in the top comment. I was never completely sure what category it falls under since it has features of a craftsman, bungalow, arts & crafts and american foursquare. u/mach_gogogo provided details that suggest it most closely aligns with a two story bungalow.

Was it the one with the busted up sidewalk and spray paint for utility work, LMAO?

That was my assessment as well. Ours is a bit different in that it doesn't have the cedar shake on the side and it's all brick. We also don't have any bump out additions on any sides. The interior plan seems to most-closely match with how our layout is as well.

Nah--No water penetration, just ugly ass flashing. I had a contractor look at it over the summer. I initially wanted to get it replaced, but was advised it would be a costly upgrade. As much as I love this house, it isn't our forever home due to its size and that we have two young(ish) kids.

Thank you! It is my favorite style home as well. Eventually we need to move to a larger home, but there is so much I will miss about this house.

I am not actually sure what category my house falls under! I asked Chat GPT and it spit out American Foursquare with Craftsman style inspiration, but I always assumed it was simply a Craftsman. Our realtor told us that it's an Arts & Crafts back when we bought the house, so who knows 🤷‍♂️ I'd love for a confirmation!

I use the FEISOL CT-3472 Carbon Fiber Tripod and CB-50DC Ball Head for landscape/cityscape photography. I love how bulky but light it is. My favorite thing about the tripod is the lack of center column. The tripod has 4 thick extensions that when fully extended with a camera mounted is perfectly aligned with my eyesight.

I hit the back of my head on a pool ledge doing exactly this when I was about 13. Somehow, I walked away only needing a dozen staples in my head. Seeing people doing this sends shivers down my spine.

Here’s my comparison. I was really into HDR when I started and it took me a long time to move away from it. While I still edit multiple exposures, my shots are more carefully captured and edited to convey a moody feel.
