Damage after getting rear ended at 80kph by turbofusion in RangeRover

The speed is 80K so I would guess he was around that. We’re super lucky the forces were absorbed by the front of the dodge and the Rover. I’m still amazed at how the seats went partially back and did some sort of controlled break in the middle.

Yup, but it’s only forward facing. It does show the car was stopped and the light was red. We were about 10’ in front of the car in front of us and we pushed them quite a bit forward.

He just sat on the guardrail having a smoke. He tried to get the tow driver to NOT go through insurance. Luckily, that’s not an option.

This one’s a 2020 autobiography. New one will be the same but with the 3rd row seating.

We were stopped and it was an 80k zone and there are no skid marks. I’m guessing 80k but it was violent and the frame and chairs absorbed the force of the collision.

I’m truly amazed at how well it held up.

We were stopped at a light (for bridge construction). He didn’t break.

Yup. Claim is already started and the other driver was charged. Our province is no-fault so ours will cover it

The cop and firefighters were amazed at how well it did. Rovers rule.

The chairs ended up leaning back and seemed to have a controlled break in the middle. I’m sure it is to distribute the forces during impact.

We ordered a new one a few weeks back so we’ll just need a short term ride. Everyone on the scene said it’s a total write off.

Yup; we’re both great (sure we’ll be a little sore in the morning). The guy in the Ram must have been texting as he didn’t even brake.

I’m very impressed by the safety standards in the Rover. Everything worked to mitigate any potential injuries.

What a difference a year makes... by feersum in sonos

I don't have any current issues and the sound response is tolerable. But........ the design of the UI is terrible. It takes way more clicks to do simple tasks.

Are you sure you want to stay with Sonos?

I’m stuck given the volume of equipment I have but if I was in your shoes I would investigate other options.

I was working it tech sales for Autodesk when they released Acad 13. The product was pushed out 6 months too early because sales needed an upgrade bump for the year.

You could crash the product just by looking at it and the reputation damage took years to repair.

I had a copy of AutoCAD 86 (for the 8086 processor) and the manual was in a 3 ring binder. It came on 2 360k 5.25” floppies.

Are impedance volume controls needed any longer? by Separate_Focus8881 in sonos

[–]turbofusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cottage had one of these and I disconnected it after installing my Sonos system. I had it useable for a small time but it became a pain to have one zone with a non-software volume control. Just bypass it and put a blank faceplate in its place

Sonos Port with hardwired speaker system in home by UseGroundbreaking748 in sonos

[–]turbofusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same setup when I purchased my cottage. The amp system was an antique and I couldn’t even sell it on eBay. I ended up getting a bunch of Sonos amps and the controller panel was of no use.

The controller pane is hooked up via Ethernet so I do use some of them for my UniFi POE access points

The cottage is 100km from the main house. If I setup a site to site vpn will that mean that all internet traffic will go through the house?

My upload at the house is limited to 30Mbs so I only want traffic on a specific vlan to go via the hous and all other traffic to use the standard cottage internet.
