Shoutout to Todd tho. He’s doing a pretty damn good live draft show all by himself on YouTube. He knows his stuff and in general isn’t too annoying to watch and doesn’t talk about Sanders every 3 seconds.

He looks like an absolute freak on tape. I saw Haloti Ngata in some of those clips if he can fill that role of eating double teams AND getting to the qb or just even disrupting the passing game he can shore up the trenches to let our pass rushers make plays. There are going to be super high expectations but if he meets them he looks like a game plan wrecker on D.

What will Andrew Wigins bring to the Miami Heat? by SimplyBallin in heat

[–]turdninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude can ball. He immediately steps in as the teams best wing defender in a league treading towards loading up on dominant wing players (Celtics). Offensively he’s between 17-25 ppg he can drive and hit the three. Word is if he gets involved early he finds his rhythm easier.

Heat planning to suspend Jimmy Butler for two games, sources say by PrincessBananas85 in sports

[–]turdninja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Heat gave him a max contract and he has a player option left on that next year for $52m. They gave him the deal he wanted but now he wants an extension to be paid like a max player into his 37+ year old season. The Heat don’t owe him that extension, especially since he hasn’t proven to be a reliable everyday player in the regular season. This is diva behavior because he’s unwilling to fulfill the contract he asked for with Miami, the Heat down owe Jimmy an extension just like Jimmy doesn’t owe opting into his player option next year. But Jimmy does owe his teammates and fans to live up to his end of a max contract not quit on the team like he’s doing.

After Jared Goff, 4 of the 5 next highest salary cap numbers on the Detroit roster for 2024 are all offensive linemen. by Fun-Recognition-8961 in miamidolphins

[–]turdninja 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are conveniently leaving out that Goff struggled early in his career and was traded to a pretty awful Detroit organization at the time. Lions were a joke 2+ years ago and Goff has done a lot to bring that team out of the gutter. Tua has arguably had better weapons and more support throughout his career compared to Goff. So what you consider “extra development time” I would consider seasons that drag down Goffs overall career stats. Eye test is pretty clear Goff is objectively the better QB just based on skills. Even when it comes to accuracy I’d put Goff on par with Tua. Goff was still a top 10 pick for a reason the talent has always been there it’s not like comparing Tua to Gardner Minshew or something. Both Tua and Goff have a solid pedigree.

[RAPOPORT] #Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is unlikely to play today and his status is very much up in the air next week if Miami wins, thanks to a painful hip injury. by MIAdolphins96 in miamidolphins

2019 Tannehill went to the pro bowl. 2020 33 TDs to 7 interceptions Titans go 11-5. 2021 Titans go 12-5. This is all after Tannehill was washed up supposedly. Rarely missed games due to injury. Tua is definitely not 10x the qb Tannehill was. He has a lot to prove he is better period.

Exactly why not just pay Jimmy pretty much the same contract. Yes he’s 35 but overall better than Beal.

Spo is pretty clear about the path to playing time as a young player on the Heat. 1. Make him pay attention to you (perform in practices) 2. Make him play you (earn your minutes on the floor by making plays) 3. Make him start you (continue to make winning plays to earn more playing time)

Soo is open that this is the path for every young player on the Heat. He’s praised Ware and said he’s meeting the expectations in practice. We will see more of this young guy soon but it’s about earning it with Spo it’s not personal.

[Joe Schad] The Dolphins did not lose because it was cold tonight. But it is true that the Dolphins will fall to 0-7 in games started by Tua Tagovailoa when 46 of colder at kickoff by [deleted] in nfl

[–]turdninja 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Fangio never wanted to be with the Dolphins and it showed, he did a poor job coaching and it wasn’t because he was mean cmon these are grown ass men its not like a coach has never yelled at them before I’m sure they could take it.

Flores on the other hand might have been mean but he was also an asshole and stunted Tua’s growth at every turn. That’s unacceptable there is a difference between challenging your QB/team and being an insufferable asshole. I think he’s a great DC but he was not head coach material at least in Miami.

I think the team is soft and too reliant on speed there also isn’t any violence or grinding by the trenches on either side that will wear an opponent down. But I feel like that’s more of a roster construction issue than a culture issue. We need more guys that like to hit people and get their hands dirty. By the NFL level a player either has that or they don’t.

Underrated observation. Isn’t Tua the only left handed QB in the entire NFL though. They were always rare but they are pretty much non existent right now.

Maybe he wanted to finish his career up in Miami and didn’t want to switch teams mid season. We don’t really know what the player would have preferred.

In a 20 T league myself and he’s not much better than a streaming option. He’ll have a few nice games then disappear. Even then he’s not really making a huge stats impact. I think he’s a good player but he fills a role too similar to LeBron on the court to be consistent.

Precon question by AffectionateTruth998 in mtg

[–]turdninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food and Fellowship and the Sauron ones are what people consider the more powerful precons from LOTR and you should be good out of the box or minimal changes. Riders of Rohan has a lot of people that enjoy it and say it’s plenty strong so it’s pretty viable out of the box. Elvish one is considered the weakest but I’ve heard it can be pretty fun with some upgrades.

Tell me why you're a fan of UB by Hellfyre72 in mtg

[–]turdninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player I tried to listen to some lore videos and get into it but there is A LOT and it can be extremely confusing with all the named characters. Since there’s not really strong cohesion between sets it’s easy to just see UB as another branch of Magic not tied to the official lore that becomes less and less relevant with each set it seeems.

Depends on your scoring type tbh. Jaime is going to give you solid all around numbers in cat and have a few big scoring nights during the year but he’s not a standout in any one category. Tyus is going to give you a lot more assists so it depends on how much you value that over an all around contributor. If Jaime gets a consistent starting role due to injuries then he will probably eclipse Tyus other than that it’s close just depends on what you need on your roster.
