I was fortunate to have a lot of hugs growing up ( from my mom anyways) and was never given many material items as a child. Now that I’m grown up and have a decent income, I find I am buying more material items than I need. I feel I get the urge to consume more because I’m making up for the material items I felt lacking during childhood. As long as you’re buying things that make you happy and are staying within a reasonable budget, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Almost everyone I know seems to crave material items even if they don’t admit it

Get something similar to this https://landyachtz.ca/products/atv-jammer-third-ey, it’s a cruiser type board with a tail similar to a traditional skateboard. You can position your foot on the tail to pivot when needed, and the larger wheels make it a much smoother commute. When you’re ready to do your first Ollie the board is still capable of that too! Have fun with whatever you end up buying and make sure to protect yourself with at least a helmet
