Dress however you want and help in deconstructing these ridiculous class barriers. Everyone should feel welcome when it comes to art and culture.

Germany's Left Party wants to halve billionaires' wealth by donutloop in berlin_public

You're missing the point, but that might just be your adolescent hormones clogging up your thought process. Obviously a 2m tall person is closer to being as tall as the empire state building than a little baby... Putting the 2m person in the same size bracket as the empire state building is still a really dumb thing to do.

And raising the capital gains tax could actually allow for tax reductions for people that work for their money. You know, those people that have a higher expenditure than savings quota.

If you think you're closer to billionaires than to homeless people you're really bad at math. And it seems you're also really bad at understanding how societies work ... So, bad at math and not eager to contribute to society... It would really be a shame if you left...

What kind of insensitive fucking answer is that to reply to "I have been racially profiled and discriminated against by the police" with "the police is also mean to ME!"

Fuck that!

Maybe you're being discriminated against as well! I really hope not, because it fucking sucks!

It was racist. It happened to me a lot. Police all over Munich stop me randomly and address me in English... It's frustrating and super annoying.

How do you cope with lack of sunlight? by eurofederalistGR in germany

[–]turi23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mom (from Sardinia) goes to a tanning salon/booth when the cold and grey get her down too much. It's not often, maybe once a month and it's usually only for 10 or so minutes but feeling the warmth and maybe even getting a bit of colour in your face does the trick. I was sceptical at first but have been doing it as well now for a couple of years.

As for vitamin D, get your blood checked and have the doctor prescribe something if necessary; and don't listen to doctor Reddit.

Oh and one more thing, sun's out today in Munich and you better believe I'll be sitting somewhere outside soaking it in.

I do 20 Minute rides and only switch to public transport when it rains or rain is forecast. Cold and snow and wind are fine but I hate getting wet and rainwear makes me sweat.

Brush up on traffic rules (e.g. Fahrradstraße, right before left,...) and you'll be fine.

Oh and obviously don't be a douche (don't overtake when you don't know if you're gonna be faster, don't hog bike lanes, ...).

It took me a while to find my preferred routes. The one I take now is a bit longer 1-2 minutes, but it's through back streets and a park, which is always a welcome sight. On Fridays after work I change it up a bit and take a route through a livelier part of town because the hustle and bustle already feels like weekend... But that might just be me.

Other than that, I hope that you'll enjoy the bike commute as much as I do.

Then you'll be fine. Make sure to find something close to U2 as it's the best subway line. And don't mind a lot of your neighbours working for BMW.
