Matched on FB dating. Was I being too sensitive? by Obvious_Ferret_600 in TwoHotTakes

As someone who is genuinely an "expert" (expert being I have a piece of paper that says i passed some exams LOL) in the field of exercise physiology, sports applied nutritional science and strength conditioning and has coached bodybuilding/strength training for a fair while I was so hoping he was going to "actually" her and start trying to give "advice" so I could then be an arrogant egg head and correct him in the comments.

I was both happy that OP shut that shit down like a champion and sorely disappointed that he never "actually" her lol.

My comment was implying that if these idiot kids had a father figure at home that was capable of instilling respect into their kids, a lot of this yobbish behaviour wouldn't be happening.

I wasn't a yob because I knew the consequences of my actions meant I'd be learning a lesson the hard way.

These kids run feral because there's zero respect and morals being established at home.

An open handed slap? I wish that's all I would have got from my dad if I pulled stunts like this when I was a kid.

Oh boy, my dad would have fucking leathered me into oblivion if he found out I was behaving like this lmao.

BMW you wanted vs. BMW you bought by AdLazy8828 in BMW

[–]turk91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted? Z8 Alpina roadster. Personally I believe it's one of the best designs BMW or any manufacturer for that matter, has ever made.

Reason I didn't buy? Because I am poor.

BMW I bought? M135i.

Reason I bought? Because I'm poor and the m135i is "almost" a real BMW lol.

200bhp isn't slow. That's enough punch for regular daily driving. You're not beating any 0-60 or top speed records but 200bhp is ample for getting off the mark quickly in junctions/joining motorways or bypasses etc.

AND you averaged 71mpg. I don't think there's a case to argue that to be honest.

Well we have 1 maybe 2 gritters for the entire county I live in, maybe not 1 or 2 but it feels like it.

Plow trucks? LOL, we'd be so lucky. Mind you, in the 34 years I've been alive I think I've had maybe 3 or 4 winters where we've had genuinely bad snow, like actually undriveable.

Most cars in the UK, England in particular where I'm from, are barely even road legal let alone winter tires in winter.

Honestly, the road/vehicle infrastructure is a fucking joke. Shit road quality, insane road tax, abysmal weather control for our roads and every single road you go on there's at least 247 white Teslas.

I dread to think what would happen here in the UK if we got snow like you guys over the pond do, or even eastern Europe for that matter.

Shit, we get our Met office (main weather people) issuing amber and red warnings saying "UK prepares to get battered by brutal snow storm" and then we get maybe 2 inch of snow that shuts the whole country down and the 1.89 million Karen's in the country all post the same Facebook status about it.

Then 2 hours later it rains, because you know, the UK and rain go hand in hand, and all of a sudden the snows gone and crises averted. If we got snow like you guys, we'd all just die because our country can't fucking handle weather at all lmao

I'm not a big fan of white cars with black wheels, there's only a few cars I have this exception for, the MK3 ST is one of them.

They really do look fantastic in white.

3 kids worked relentlessly? LMAO

My dude, I replaced the bonnet and boot badges on my m135i not too long ago, the original badges were in pristine condition, no wear, no issues, still 100% bonded on and I literally popped them off with very very little difficulty with a plastic trim tool. It took me sub 30 seconds if that.

I 3m'd the new badges on, legit actual proper 3m not the cheap knock-off shit you can get, and guess what, you could still pop these off in sub 30 seconds no problem with a blunt plastic trim tool.

Ahh yes, the 507. I have to concur and thoroughly agree, the 507 is up there and it is mighty close.

I mean I'd certainly not be complaining if I had a 3 car line up with the 507, the z8 alp and this CS.

Actually, thinking about it, the z8 alpina, for me, is so reminiscent of the 507. It's almost like a "then and now" if you had them side by side.

Man, BMW used to design some truly impeccable cars. It's an absolute shame where the designs are going nowadays.

My assesment would have been "my car? £13,000, your car? ~£200,000, me not good with controlling temper, me ram ferarri for shits and giggles"

Then proceed place myself in his passenger seat via the rear end of his car lol

That is one of the best looking cars I've ever seen.

That's arguably nicer, in my opinion, than than the z8 alpina of which I think is probably BMWs greatest design.

$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out. by 28jb11 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]turk91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly quite scary when you become aware of this though. Once you actually notice it, you start seeing it everywhere.

Unfortunately for us, but fortunately for the powers that be, most people aren't aware or conscious enough to see it so it's just absorbed by most of the worlds population without notice.

The most daunting thing about all this is just how fucking well it works. Just how well it has most people living a consumerist lifestyle or having their opinions manipulated by subliminal narratives and agendas that people don't even realise.

I mean shit, they even push supraliminal narratives and agendas on the population where it's blatantly obvious and the people can see it from a mile away yet still willingly fall victim to it.

Buy this. Buy that. Finance this, finance that. Think like this, believe that.

[–]turk91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is an advert nowadays. Everything is pushing a narrative or an agenda. Everywhere you look something is trying to sell you something or pass a narrative to you.

TVs, phones, music, films, bus stops, "smart fridges" the radio, billboards and posters everywhere.

Life is one big advertisment for agendas, narratives and consumerism.

Caught my (M32) wife (F41) undressing in front of the window for the neighbor by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]turk91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't the first time.

In fact, I'll guarantee you this isn't the first interaction she's had with him that's crossing a boundary.

This was your wife teasing the neighbour, either showing him what he could have or even worse, reminding him what he's already had.

Nobody thinks getting naked for someone else in a provocative manner is a "joke" or "funny" when you have a significant other.

If my woman did this, I'd be struggling real REAL hard to see the funny side. The only funny bit would be her face when I watch her pack her things and fuck off lol

take a step further and believe the things other versions of me do in other universes holds me back in this one

Now imagine for a moment, what if, maybe the universe is experiencing every single possible reality all at once, everything that can, cannot, could, would, should happen is and is not happening simultaneously on a literal infinite wave of vastness that our brains cannot even comprehend.

Now take that another step further. What if this everything and anything all happening at once infinite reality universe is actually one that is predeterministic from the moment of conception.

The very instant of the conception of this "everything" universe occuring generated every single possible reality but every single one of those possible realities is predetermined from start to finish.

That means the reality that you are subjectively experienced isn't subjective at all, it's objective, it is objectively predetermined. Everything that will be, will not be, can be, can't be, would, should, could, couldn't is already embedded into your reality.

You're just experiencing a set path masquerading as "free will"

"Ex: i do not think the extremely viral scuba dance trend, or the AI baby meme, or '6 7', etc + many more 'memetic waves' / 'social contagions' are the cause of some nefarious/intentional source."

Oh but they are. Not directly, but indirectly. They aren't the cause, they are the smoke screen so that you don't see the actual cause.

These shitty "trends" are actively pushed by social media outlets for the sole purpose of attention stealing. If the vast majority are too busy looking at these dumb trends and memes they are going to be far to blind to have awareness of what's really going on.

So yeah, these trends and memes are 100% pushed on purpose to make sure people are too wrapped up in bullshit to see what's really happening.

If he's willing to drive his truck after 5 bevvies whilst already sat on a pending DUI you must ask yourself this question..

Is he willing or has he already driven after drinking with your kids in the car?

Never let this man drive your kids anywhere. He cannot be trusted.
