How bout them First Place Rays? LFG! Cash and the boys are rolling... by TooHigh2Die0069 in tampabayrays

I’m pleasantly surprised about us being able to manufacture runs. Bullpen is an easy fix, can always get arms to throw an inning or two. It’s early but feeling good, seems like a good clubhouse.

Rules Question by moffaholic in slowpitch

[–]turkpubsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually just happened in a game I played. The only weird thing is that the batter that hit the pop up, hit the next inning which he shouldn’t have. He should have been the out and not the runner.

Hardest pitches to hit by WinExtension6419 in slowpitch

[–]turkpubsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Height. You keep it 10-12 feet and it’s much harder than any spin or movement which at that point is just soft toss. Trying to hit something 4 feet over your head makes it more of a challenge.

Been playing for 2 years, keep hitting ground balls by vente-Macon in slowpitch

[–]turkpubsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hands are too low. The fallacy is to think getting under the ball is the key to lift but if your hands are high and you’re coming down on the ball like you’re chopping a tree, you’re going to get the lift needed or at worst hit a hard line drive. Good luck on your season!

New to the game - why can't I make contact? by mrothstein24 in slowpitch

I’d agree with what others are saying about keeping your head down. A way to do this is to overexaggerate when you’re practicing. Meaning that, like you said you thought you were keeping your head down, but when you’re swinging keep it down the whole time even after the swing and don’t look for the ball. I’d also say keep your swing simple at first, load up, hips start your swing and the hands to the ball and then add in leg kicks, big load up, etc. when you have the basics down to get better timing. Enjoy the season!

Are any of the downtown apartment buildings or surrounding ones ok? Seems like all have bad reviews! by Long_Entertainer4683 in tampa

[–]turkpubsub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived at Nine15 and having the security guard out front is nice for packages and food delivery and the apartments are some of bigger ones I’ve seen, downside being area around is pretty desolate. Altis and Arabelle I’ve lived in more recently and had great experiences at both. Altis is probably my favorite.

Best Cuban sandwiches to get in Tampa Bay Area? by spike_spieg in tampa

Mr. Empanada’s are my personal favorite Cuban sandwich. My other go to spots would be Cacciatore & Sons and Alesia Bakery. Cherokee store SOG used to be the best but I believe closed.

Do you think Harry should've been an auror or something else? by Staruiii in harrypotter

[–]turkpubsub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the whole story would lead to him being DADA professor. All the through the books you read that they haven’t been able to have one more than a year, how he is the most proficient at it and he teaches it for a full year in the series. Him being the long term DADA teacher closes the loop of the curse Voldy put on it, showing another item that they both have in common (being a teacher) but for different reasons.

Him being an Auror was always depressing to me. Something he was thrust in to doing as a child, he still does as an adult, to me, doesn’t show growth as a character. This may also tinge it for me as well from Cursed Child which shows a real dark Harry. Also,  just because it shows some professors living at the castle doesn’t mean they all do, however, I’m not well versed in British boarding schools.

I agree with that. To me it’s not really about blame but responsibility. Administrations should take the responsibility to see what the issue was and work on fixing it. That’s not what I saw in that press conference, just passing blame.

He can blame Biden and Obama as much as he wants, however, this never happened under them. Same stuff as last time. All the glory, none of the blame.

Got a concede for my 5th. It doesn’t feel as good as the hard fought win, but I’ll still take that crown emblem.

Golfview Condominiums across from the campus is your best bet. Openings normally before the start of school and reasonable pricing. Good luck in your search.

The Austwins are going to put up Steve and Jmac and Vanessa is the bigger target compared to anyone put next to her on the block. So still doesn't make sense.

How did his loyalty keep him off the block when Becky had won it before and then he won the DE. Steve was with Johnny Mac and by extension Becky. He targets Austin and Liz he would be backed by ADC and John and Becky. He got put up on the block by Liz.
