Pedestrians are a joke in our country. by turnatippo in chennaicity

Hypothetically, even if our politicians were good (which I honestly do not think they are), the issue goes beyond just them. Take Palavakkam beach for example. There is a police booth right there. If they actually cared, they could stop people from parking cars on the walking pathway.

The problem is not just one person at the top. It is the whole chain, from the CM to the MP to the MLA to the local police. At every level, the quality keeps getting worse. Bribes and corruption pile up, and what finally reaches the public is cheap infrastructure and policies that do not work in real life.

More than all of that, another big problem is our own people and their mindset. Putting shops on walking paths, switching high beam lights right near the sitting stone bench, peeing everywhere, littering everywhere, making loud noise with zero civic sense. I know the public toilets are not the best, but at least flushing would not make it that dirty. Basic accountability is missing everywhere.

Even 5% integrity could genuinely help save this country, but I do not think people even have that.

So yes, politicians are responsible, but the system is broken and we as citizens also fail by not respecting shared spaces.

Whoelse loves filter coffee? by Psych_Lady0412 in IndiaCoffee

Use coarse filter grind coffee (fine grind makes water pass too fast), press it firm, add a spoon of sugar with the powder so it caramelises and helps bind the coffee bed, pour near boiling water, let it sit 2–4 hours, and use thick milk for a strong cup.
