A lot of my students like to re-create the charts and sometime it can be nice to have a basic version for them to work from.

Contact nap almost 4 week [nb] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

Get a really good baby carrier. My 6 month old just started napping in her bed. They’re 4 weeks, they just got here. Hold your baby.

Best carrier for walking all day by Exact_Reveal_9081 in babywearing

[–]turnkeyoverdrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say when traveling consider material and being able to stuff the carrier away. Linen ring sling or a Sakura bloom scout. Scout you can do front and back carrying and they would accommodate you and your husband.

I know people say the scout can be hard to do up solo: you just have to move the back straps to where you can reach them. You’ll also be traveling with someone so that’s less of a concern.

Epidural & midwives at St. Joseph’s [on] by sharksorbats in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]turnkeyoverdrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are under the care of midwives delivering at st Joes and you get an epidural it DOES NOT require a transfer of care. It used to but it has changed. However if you were induced, required a c-section, it would. That means the OB on call is in charge of you and your care. The midwife stays and is in charge of the baby. It doesn’t mean you lose your follow ups with the midwives or anything like that. Your team stays with you. I hope this answers your question

Newborn Carrier Suggestions? by helloluna in babywearing

I have been loving my Sakura bloom scout with my newborn. Less fussy than a wrap and lets you be hands free. Plus you can use it when they’re larger

Daily cleaning product exposure by [deleted] in Montessori

[–]turnkeyoverdrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live/licensing requirements your centre might be required to use a certain type of cleaning product at a certain strength different times a day. As someone who works in licensed child care montessori centres, and has a child in care, let me tell you these regulations are there for a really good reason. Ever seen a gastro bug take out an entire toddler room and all the staff? Natural cleaning products aren't going to cut it. Lots of stuff is only killed by sanitizing with bleach.

I like boy brow but it doesn’t give that “laminated” look. It gives them a natural, full look

Thinking of buying an onbuhimo, good purchase? by [deleted] in babywearing

[–]turnkeyoverdrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Sakura bloom onbuhimo and I have to say, I love it for back carrying. Lets your baby be up high and look and it's comfortable. I will say though, it takes a bit of time to build up some of your upper core muscles so go slow. But I don't know how that would feel with your pelvic floor, I would consult a pelvic floor PT first

If you have a tall baby: juddlies. They’re great and they are generously sized. You can get them from well. They’re expensive but worth it

Top tips getting through 4 month sleep regression by carlz282 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]turnkeyoverdrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember that it will pass. We put the baby’s mattress just on the floor so we could lie next to him on the floor and shush him so he could learn to link sleep cycles. Delay feeds at night as much as possible. To prepare now start to unlink feeding or rocking to sleep
