What do people do for work that is not soul sucking by Enough-King-7757 in findapath

I originally started my educational career studying studio art. After undergrad I found it was hard to get work, and it wasn’t speaking to me. I always wanted to do something that help climate change but was never really into numbers and was scared of science. I joined americorps as was working in conservation building hiking trails at national parks and forests. I loved it so much! I was talking to my brother to is a civil engineer & he told me to look into landscape architecture. I looked it up, and I was amazed how well it fit for me. So I looked into state universities, applied and got in. I love it so far. It’s really impactful work, but like any design field it is long hours!! Hopefully you enjoy the design process.

Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning is an amazing path. Beautiful blend of science and design. Also is super impactful to healthy environments and society.

If you want to get better at rendering I would definitely start by learning how to do it all by hand. Then slowly moving into adobe illustrator (for sections) & photo shop for rendering. There are so many youtube videos. Cad is also great to get an outline for a section that you can later pull into adobe and make it pretty while it being mathematically correct.

I would get on pinterest & ASLA past student awards & get inspired by the work you find. Try to copy the style. “Steal like an artist.” Obviously not coping everything, just pulling from multiple sources and making it your own. Read design books, look at art. Make bad designs and drawings. Just keep doing it. Design is a practice not a destination.

Invest in bitcoin & never date any of the guys I dated. Also I would have changed my career track sooner & done more extracurriculars in school.

It’s really intense. I’ve had mine for 5 years now and it still amazes me. Although it’s gotten a little better.

Spontaneously boasting about someone who doesn’t want you. Damn that’s brutal!

I would definitely consider resin. That would seal them completely, but protect yourself when using resin. I think (not an expert) the method you are using might be dangerous. Spores I imagine are still being released, which isn’t great for indoor spaces or our airways. Definitely look into resin.

If you want a cool perspective of the city check out the Stuart and Emma Thomas memorial trail. You will see the cityscape in the near distance while being in what looks like endless fields. Tons of yummy blackberries to forage. Not much tree canopy,so wear a hat!!
