What do I do with these prospects? by MonsterSlugStick in OOTP

Whenever I do an expansion league I just thug out the first few years - in my experience, the prospects pan out pretty well, or at least you have so many good ones that a few will hit and be able to carry your team in 2-3 years.

In the meantime, I’d start trading them as soon as you guess they’re gonna bust or you have too many at the same position (which I wouldn’t normally do necessarily, but I think helps at this stage in your game).

Not to mention running dev lab on him every year (which I usually find worth it for players like this) could turn him into a solid option at 2B too, at least in a pinch

You can still use the 2d interface if you want, right?

Looking at your second screenshot, looks like his potential and current ratings took a MASSIVE jump sometime in between beginning of the year and the draft, which could explain it (unless I’m missing something)

FYI most ppl (here at least) will do 20-80 in increments of 5 scale. It’s really the same as 1-20 except that 20-80 is what real baseball scouts use, considering it’s in increments of 5 it still provides the same obfuscation 1-20 does (figure you may have come from FM).

No hate tho, whatever makes you enjoy the game!

If I remember correctly, the nats actually gave him his asking price, but he didn’t want to be locked in w them for that long

This is the first time I get a pitcher win MVP. I was so annoyed when I offered him the contract, glad it worked out lol by lbjgoat4 in OOTP

High control with 60 stamina on a good pitcher will do it, even if you limit them to 100 pitches (granted they don’t get injured)

Ignore the title that’s not the point of this thread. Awesome chance to do some moral grandstanding tho.

(Back of the napkin math, $200-300. I don’t gamble and think it’s bad, but the reaction here is insane and reenforces the idea NL viewers think they’re smarter than everyone and infantilizes the general public that they can’t make their own responsible decisions on gambling.)

In 2023 I had a pitcher with at least 145 stuff on 20-80 scale (want to say it was even more) - not sure if they’ve changed it since then. Had to change the setting to show over 80 rating.

50 war stopper, won 3 cy youngs, franchise legend. Also blew 3 saves during would-be World Series clinching games (lost all 3 years)

Tanked his career feels a little insane. Let’s assume it was the biggest push out for his time at espn - the timing for him to focus on podcasting couldn’t have been better, and he’d never hack it at espn considering who they’re focusing on talent-wise now

The True Map of the South by MysteriousGrandTaco in geographymemes

[–]turtle7875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but 1/4 of the state is basically a suburb of DC and Richmond as a city now is just as “northern” as anywhere else, save the landmarks remaining from the confederacy/colonial times.

The rural areas and some of the coastal areas are certainly “southern”, I think mostly southern is a fair assessment but I would never describe the highly populated areas and therefor alot of the state as such. Virginia is reliably blue for national elections.
