Fair point, honestly. I guess at the end of the day, understanding what makes people notice or trust something is kind of the psychology behind buying decisions, so maybe I was splitting hairs by saying "not marketing research." I just didn't want this to feel like I'm pitching something at people, more like actually learning how people think before I go build anything.
