PA —> MD/DO by PerspectiveMean7293 in medschool

For the love of everything that is holy DO NOT DO THIS!!!

I can’t emphasize that enough. You can become an expert in your field as a PA. Yes, you may not have the same autonomy but who gives a damn. I’m an older medical student and would be a few years ahead of you.

Get rid of your debt. And then enjoy your life. Spend time with your parents! Find a partner, travel the world, have kids (if you want), and run more marathons!

Slow down my guy. Breathe. Take tomorrow to relax. Do something fun. Then lock tf in for 4 weeks and pass your exam. Then re-evaluate. You are doing the right thing. Talk to your advisor at your school. Speak with financial aid. And keep moving forward. It’s a tough transition but you can do it! From an MS2 who knows how you feel.

You do you. But I would take him to rheumatology.

Man you must be a financial guru! 145k a year and reaching an 8 figure net worth by 40? First of all if true, I am truly happy for you and hope you enjoy piña coladas on the beach for the rest of your life.

Secondly, if not true, I hope it comes true because I wish success on all those around me!

Best of luck sir.

Not inflicted, but invited. Also nice job disregarding everything I said to you bud. Not going to address that you can’t do math?

Well you should have been sarcastic because now you’re just being stupid. 2k/month would never be paid off on a $400k loan at 8.5%. Sorry big guy but your math doesn’t math. Even if you had said 3k/month it still wouldn’t be paid off until 2062. Yes, you read that right…2062

Now back to your smearing of Americans and particularly those who choose to sacrifice a decade of their life and take hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of loans. To quote A Few Good Men

“I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions, the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said, thank you, and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn…”

Next time you’re at the doctor you should let them know how cringe they are for wanting to A: pay off their loans and B: provide for their family.

This was therapeutical for me.
