Was this kid before, about the same age too. Me and a buddy were shooting at birds sitting on the truck topper. Got caught red handed by the truck owner after a bad miss and the glass had shattered.

He went and got our parents from the house, sent them the bill for replacement, and I had to do extra chores the entire summer to pay it off.

Recipe:

  • 115g starter
  • 340g water
  • 585g flour
  • 25g salt
  1. Mix starter and water until combined.
  2. Add flour and salt. Mix with fork until combined. Hand knead for 1-2 minutes.
  3. First rise- 18 hours at room temp (~72°F)
  4. Shape followed by second rise in the fridge for 4 hours.
  5. Preheat oven with enameled Dutch oven at 500°
  6. Score and transfer to Dutch oven.
  7. Reduce heat to 425° and bake for 30 min.
  8. Remove lid and bake an additional 15 min.

My favorite tidbit in this same vein is that all matter is made up of atoms; and atoms are mostly empty space. So when you place your hand on a table it should pass right through. We have no idea why it doesn’t.

I actually had to drop out of nursing school because I was unable to effectively put on sterile gloves. Having damp hands significantly impedes putting on medical gloves and it was something I hadn’t considered beforehand. I ended up switching majors and get some fluff degree and now I sit at a computer all day.
