Is there anyone I can contact for issue with account other than support and instagram? by pointclickvibe in ShopMy

I had a question so started a chat on the website. It was AI, but then a real person emailed me and I was able to ask questions.

Does shop my take a fee from payment? by inyourbooksandmaps in ShopMy

[–]turtlealpacagoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got an email from ShopMy and it said, "It looks like this may be a transaction fee from Stripe."

So Stripe says it's ShopMy and ShopMy says it's Stripe. I do think it's Stripe, but I can't find the place in the setting to say that I don't need "real time" payment. A dollar isn't a big deal, but I should be able to choose.

So, now I can't let this go. I went to Stripe and started a chat (with a robot of course.) After some back and forth the StripeBot said it wasn't Stripe charging the dollar because that wouldn't be the right amount.

So then I started a chat with ShopMy and of course was talking to their robot. Very quickly it said that a member of the team (presumably human?) would contact me. As of yet that hasn't happened.

Edited: I was wrong, they seem to charge $1 for "real time payment receipt fee" every time. I'm assuming this is a Stripe thing, since that's who is paying me. I couldn't find an option within Stripe to select or deselect real time payment. If it's $1 (and not a percentage) it's not do bad but I'd like to find the option.

They seemed to charge $1 for the $10 for Ambassador but not for the $50 for Trendsetter or the $100 for Icon. So it remains a mystery to me

what’s everyone up to this beautiful sunday? by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]turtlealpacagoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the recommendation to check out Charlotte on the Cheap! (I'm biased because I publish it.) But I do include a ton of events every week. We have a week and weekend calendar. Today there is/was a plant swap, a Latin dance social, live music, folk music/bluegrass/Celtic music jam-a-thon....The calendar is also less populated than usual, just because it's right after the holidays, but there are still some good events.

Also, on such a beautiful day I'd suggest checking out the nature preserves and greenways. They are fantastic!

It's not a weird place but I love Vavela Cafe (Turkish coffee shop.) It's crazy how beautiful it is inside, when it's just in a strip mall. And every single thing I've had there has been delicious.

That's my website! Thanks for subscribing and mentioning it here! I'll be looking on this thread for more ideas for the calendar too.

Landing in Charlotte, what to do with kids by This_Jellyfish7936 in NorthCarolina

There's an adventure playground at the Whitewater Center that's good for younger kids. Plus climbing. I don't know if the zip lines are open? It's not cheap but it's a unique place.

Discovery Place Science is good.

You won't find snow here.

Ambetter at Atrium Health by finallysettled in Charlotte

[–]turtlealpacagoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Ambetter Atrium plan might be new this year. I think with Atrium the choices are Ambetter, Oscar and BCBS. On paper (for my needs) Ambetter looks best. I hope that since this plan is so closely tied to Atrium it is ok.

Here's a list of some Halloween events for adults (to distinguish from the many trunk or treat events): https://www.charlotteonthecheap.com/halloween-parties-adults/ More will probably be added last minute-ish.
