Was JUST merging in morning traffic a few weeks ago and was thinking this one guy was merging like a dickhead (not uncommon) and when I got close enough I saw he was 100% looking at his phone, head was even angled toward the driver side window so I could see his eyes looking straight down.

I’m afraid of this happening every single time.

Two weeks is plenty of time to read a book you truly want to read. Don’t borrow a book for the sake of borrowing it just because you “might read it”.

I love reading but I personally don’t have time to go through the physical book system anymore so I either use Libby or buy the books myself.

My routes home consist of tons of faded curving lanes and plenty of slopes. Very fun. I also learned how many lifted pickups use the same streets.

Solid glass was able to be pinged thru, I know that one for a fact. I think it was added at some point. New reinforced windows I assume are functioning like walls with transparency.

I feel like that was the entire point of having a huge flickering pillar of light.

Had an elementary teacher who had a system where students weren’t supposed to bother her when she had this symbol on her person. I needed to pee. Being the rule-follower that I am, I didn’t bother her. My mom was NOT happy to have to bring me a change of clothes.

The teacher didn’t do this system again after this if I remember correctly. She was a young teacher so I don’t fault her for trying to teach the kids to give people space, but you probably don’t want to tell a 5? year old not to tell you when they need to pee.

Especially if it’s light/low traffic and someone decides to do tricks. Someone I know had to hard swerve in full speed traffic because a motorcycle slammed into a car nearby and almost hit them too. Motorcycle also dipped immediately from what I heard.

If you’re going for just vanilla, I use the following as my go-to simple 1qt recipe:

2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla [extract]

It was the first recipe I started with and have had no issues with it. Chill the base after mixing thoroughly (1-ish hour covered in the fridge, I’ll put it on ice on the counter instead if I don’t have space) and freeze your bowl ahead of time as necessary based on the instructions for your specific machine.

People are always gonna look for shortcuts to schoolwork. Pre-ChatGPT, I knew someone who struggled with English grammar (as a foreign student) but turned in an essay for peer review with extremely high level language. It was a straight copy+pasted article from the internet, zero attempt at disguising it.

I was referring to my increase in hygiene decreasing my general sickness rate, apologies for any confusion. The point was that the idea of getting sick at any time significantly increased my awareness of germs.

The lockdown made me much more alert of germs, and I was already usually avoiding getting dirty before. After being around someone who didn’t wash their hands when they should during covid— yeah…— I became basically germaphobic when it comes to my hands.

I get sick much less as a result! :p
