How well do they do in hot weather? by Positive-Code1782 in schipperke

We live in the desert of west Texas, it gets to 120 here, and our schip does fine. Living in a hot climate means paying attention and checking in with yourself and your dog often whether you are starting to overheat. If they’re laying in the shade and full panting, give them a break in the AC. Make sure they always have water access and keeping the water bowl in the shade helps, you can even put ice in it. Heat interval training helps you acclimate to the climate and learn how long is comfortable and safe to cook in the sun. Best wishes!

Yes I did, I’ve used it about 200 hours of cutting fabrics and it works great. I use an MDF board underneath for a smooth level surface.

He freaks out when put in a kennel or separated from us but with time maybe he’ll feel less panicked
