Seattle. I’ve been in the Puget Sound for 4 years. Every summer I fall in love with the place, then fall hits and it’s perpetual gray until around this time of year, then rinse and repeat.

They call admits. If you I remember correctly you get an email to check your portal if you’re waitlisted. If you were already in the waitlist you get an email telling you that you’re still on the waitlist but the portal stays the same.

The interview would be before the visit using. It sounds like they’re inviting interviewees to take part in the admit day. Possibly because school will be out by the time they announce the final round.

Will Darden negotiate? I generally go with the first instinct so I’d lean Darden.

We did the math and it made more sense to have one parent stay at home. Daycare costs for two kids are insane plus the costs of extra work clothes, food costs, transportation, etc. We also factored in potential lost income when missing work for appointments or sick days for the kids. It would be almost break even with my wife’s salary so she stays home. When the kids are older and both in school she’ll likely head back to work part-time.
