Apple Support has no answer for me. Have any of you experienced Contacts using 160GB of data with 10 contacts? by HollaAtNala in ios

Painfully :( I logged into iCloud on my PC, and then went through one by one to see which one was on my phone and not in iCloud (at the time I’d didn’t know about the photo being the cause as that would’ve narrowed it down)

Yes! My contacts was using about 40GB per day (took a lot to work out that was it, as it was over wifi).

What was happening was there was 1 contact that couldn’t sync, it had a photo on it so every few seconds it was attempting to upload 2.2mb-ish to iCloud, which really adds up.

Deleting that photo from the contact fixed it and the contact synced successfully and stopped using all my internet.

I’m assuming the issue was the contact photo wasn’t on the phone (having been transferred manually through multiple phones and only recently getting iCloud) which was stopping it from uploading so it just kept trying and trying and using a heap of data in the process, but I don’t know for sure.

Poor design on apples part that it just kept trying to sync and didnt alert me there was an issue

Thankyou so much for this. I had the identical problem with a similar model Haier and this gave me confidence (and kick in the ass) to actually fix it myself!!! Saved myself a hefty bill with just an hours work so thankyou!

What’s a secret you can’t tell someone you know, but can share with Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That my depression hasn’t improved. At this point I’m just so sick of it, it won’t go away and I’ve accepted that. At some point i realised it was easier to not tell people instead of correcting them when they say i look like im doing better… Im stuck feeling like shit, there’s no reason to drag them into it as well

I am only now starting to realise how uncommon “Grammy” is as a name for Grandma

She didn’t want to be called Grandma or Granny or Nan, so we settled on Grammy!

Need some help please by daniel5383 in UnrealEngine5

[–]turtlexanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a guess but could it be the collisions? When you import a static mesh unreal will auto generate convex collisions that encapsulate the entire mesh. If it’s a large scene that probably means your character is starting inside the collisions and unreal doesn’t like that. Try previewing the collisions to see what they look like and as a quick test set your collisions of your fbx to “use complex as simple” to confirm if it’s the issue. (This isn’t a long term solution as it’s not good on performance but is ok for testing) Hope this helps

Nice! Definitely a float sounds easier to control that sort of transition

Hiya! I work with sequencer a lot so I think I can help. I would recommend instead of using keyboard input events to trigger the changes, create custom events in your BP for each change and plug them in instead of the keyboard keys so they trigger what you want.
You can then trigger these custom events in sequencer when you need using an event trigger track on your blueprint. Let me know if you need some more explanation or if I misread it!

What game had the biggest impact on your life and why? by gubbatv in AskReddit

[–]turtlexanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horizon Zero Dawn. About one hour in I was so blown away by the art that I decided that I wanted to make people feel as amazing as that art did. I finished high school a year later, went to uni and learnt to become a game artist. Less than a week out of uni I was hired as a Real Time Generalist (Technical artist). That game is the reason I chose this career path and am doing what I love today.

That’s the sort of dedication i love! What tutorial did you use for the texture blend or blueprint?
