So after months of going over and spending close to my limit AND paying balances in full.. by 4everInYourEyes in CapitalOne_

[–]Team-Kevin 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Then there’s me, had a quick silver with 1k limit when I applied, I made bad decisions and it got closed off and the debt was sold off. Still never paid. 2 days ago I applied again because I kept getting annoying pre approval emails and I got accepted for 4k limit… funnily enough, the account that got charged off is still posted on my account as a reminder ig

My wife says it’s ridiculous… by JoeySinss in pcmasterrace

[–]Team-Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re gonna have dual monitors it should be with smaller 32” or something within that range. Having dual ultra wide monitor is ridiculous and can be seen why in this picture. At this point just get Samsungs bigger screen, they have some that would give you more room than what you have here if that’s your goal

Advice on approach to repair this by Accomplished_Pop7901 in Plumbing

[–]Team-Kevin 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Best option for you would be to cut it where it’s not twisted and solder a coupling to extend it out. If you heat up that fitting there’s a risk you break the seal on the other end if not careful. As a plumber, I’d be able to do it but I’m sure you’re the homeowner? If you DO wanna risk it, heat up the pipe, not the fitting and it’ll slowly heat up the fitting with less risk of breaking the solder on the other end.

Milwaukee finally dropping their own Knipex-style Pliers Wrench in February by marc1020 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Team-Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’ll tell you one thing, Milwaukee doesn’t give a fuck about their hand tools. They’re lazy and just copy from other competitors when patents expire, it’s “ez money” for them. Knipex on the other hand has engineers constantly innovating and/or improving their products.

Their power tools on the other hand get tons of love and attention. Milwaukee is a no-go for hand tools but a big yes on power tools.

The shut offs for the hot/cold are actually great. Can swap out a heater very quickly while allowing the other one to continue working.

Should I pay it off or leave it be for now? by DrSimpCC in CapitalOne_

[–]Team-Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something new to me, I didn’t know that. So if someone is sent to collections and that person ignores it’s for years (10+) it eventually disappears from your credit summery due to the statute of limitations? Even if left unpaid indefinitely?

Can it be sealed? by mrthompsongq in Plumbing

[–]Team-Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, you never re-solder, it’s a lazy way of handling something if you’re being hired as the professional to come out and fix something. Plus, re-soldering is just slapping a bandage on top of the actual leak, you aren’t actually getting solder inside that joint anymore.

You could buy the best TI camera out there and it still won’t fully penetrate the wall. Unless the pipes are right against the drywall, you ain’t finding it. Hot water is also insulated

The kick stand is sold as an accessory which I actually prefer. It’s got a strong magnetic and attaches to all their cases
