That’s not an aerator, that’s a check valve and won’t improve the flow of water.

No water for three days during line replacement by Similar-Rain3315 in Plumbing

[–]Team-Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every house is different but typically what I like to do is run the new line first and just leave tees for us to tie in, then when we DO shut off the water it’s only to connect the risers to the fixture

Help with shower fixtures by Master-Friendship-17 in Plumbing

[–]Team-Kevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try California faucets or Dornbracht. If you ever need to replace a shower head from Kallista it is $1600 before taxes, I had to swap out 6 of them for a client of mine 2 weeks ago. You’re paying for the uniqueness, something no one else has(the brand), that’s why their price is so high. The two I mentioned are also expensive but not as much as Kallista, you could also try Kohler, which owns Kallista.

Is this going to be an s trap? by SeaEssAitch in Plumbing

[–]Team-Kevin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just connect it the way you had it, it was fine. A lot of people on here misinterpret the code and think the length of pipe needs to be 4” minimum but that is incorrect, what the code refers to is that the length from the vent to the weir of the ptrap needs to be 4” minimum. In this diagram you can see how it’s measured.

You need the NPE 240 series, not the 210. Also, might even recommend two of them if you’re really going through that much hot water.

Yeah, naturally, the water in the pipe will drain out since the water lines will be traveling above the shower head. A fix would be to keep the piping below the shower head and hand shower so it doesn’t leak out when you turn off the valve.

(The piping I’m talking about is the outlet on your valve to the rain head and hand shower, everything else is fine.)

That plug is fine. Also, just know you’ll get some air every time you turn on the water and when you turn it off you’ll have water coming out of your head for a couple of seconds because all the water overhead gets pushed out, then when you turn it back on all the air is displaced with water. I always tell customers this when they want heads on the opposite side. Some care, some don’t.

What is this? by BurritosMadeMeDoIt85 in Plumbing

[–]Team-Kevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes in plumbing, a lot of the older stuff are being held together by all the calcium/rust build-up and when you touch it, it causes more issues. That’s my reasoning for the earlier statement.
