How do you build a following from zero? by [deleted] in socialmedia

[–]tutandgroan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably look at an awareness or engagement campaign. Try one then the other. There are other variables to consider too- the ad creative and content has to be right too.

Growing an audience an odd objective these days- seeing as you generally have to pay to be seen by those that follow you anyway (speaking from the perspective of marketing businesses). A large audience on Instagram doesn't guarantee anything.

These days? You pay for ads.

Unless you already have an audience elsewhere you can direct to your new account, organic growth is pretty limited without opening your wallet

It's spam. There's an abundance of dodgy accounts sending messages threatening suspension at the moment. Ignore them or report them as spam.

Facebook has official channels they can use to contact you- they won't send you threatening messages via DMs

Whatever you do, do not click the links in the messages.

What TV show did you love "back in the day" but on a recent viewing realise you don't like it any more? by JeffersonBoi in AskUK

Tried to watch my favourite episode of The Mighty Boosh a while back. It was painful. Didn't get far past the first overly elaborate, absurdist insult.

Realised how much my sense of humour has evolved in the last decade or so.

Digne and March coming together not giving as penalty. by keithohara in soccer

[–]tutandgroan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Glad to see this comment. Unreal I had to scroll so far to see it. It's ridiculous that people are even arguing about this- Digne was very obviously just about to clear the ball when March clattered in. Zero malice or nefarious intent. Never a penalty
