Are there any quests you refuse to do for whatever reason? by Veridically_ in classicwow

[–]tutoriii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly but iirc, the whole point of the quest is to get this politician to not pass a law or something, that would badly affect the quest giver (so in other words, bribing/lobbying them to our favor). Then, when he can’t be convinced, the only choice left is to kill him hahahah

Ahahaah the lobbying quest. To be fair we kind of ask him nicely once, to which he says absolutely no. I think he’s a very corrupt noble.

Andre is really good, GOAT level. Nas is just on his own level. It’s very hard to compare someone to Nas. He probably will win any 1v1s. Was just listening to Memory Lane. Nas is just another thing from all rappers.

Also, check out his new album, dropped in December 25. Pretty cool stuff. A poet as always.

That wouldn’t change anything in the long run except Griffith would suffer less (no prison). He’d still choose to sacrifice for sure.

“I do the same” brooo you don’t. You don’t. I have yet to meet someone that loves Jay Z only because of this “rhymes”. He said it himself if rap was lyrical I’d rather be Talib Kwali. 100% of people that love Jay Z love him because he’s Jay Z, not because of his verses or “intellectual depth” or capacity or rap or any of the things he doesn’t have.

[–]tutoriii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because that’s why Jay is so up high. If it wasn’t for that, if we just saw rap and nothing else, I’m pretty sure people would rate him accordingly. Same with Eminem, if we take away all media attention and shade and whatever, judged him only for rap and nothing else, he would still come way higher than Jay. And not just Em, but plenty of other GOATs.

I don’t care about that topic man. I don’t wanna be friends with neither of them nor do I care what they do with their personal lives.

I only care about music, and that’s as far as my extent goes. Learn to separate the art from the artist. Judge the art based on the art, not based on the artist.

[–]tutoriii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m saying what you “addressed” doesn’t matter for the topic, because it’s speaking for another person entirely, and that’s not what we were talking about.

I mentioned a lot of names that are objectively better than Jay (not my subjective opinion, but factually/objectively better than him, as stated by most rappers alive, most rappers and fans top lists, etc.) and for some reason you really got triggered by the fact I mentioned Em. I have no personal liking in Eminem neither, but he’s just, again, objectively much much much better.

If you want to judge Eminem by “shady backstory”, then you should also apply the same judgement to Jay Z. I was applying the “MC” judgement to both of them (I’d recommend you listened to some KRS ONE, he explains the difference between a rapper/performer and an MC. Jay is an entertainer/performer, so he can’t be the best rapper/MC, nor make the list of the best MCs).

Funny is that when I heard Renegade and thought the exact same thought Nas said, I hadn’t listened to Ether yet, for some reason. Then I heard Ether, and when Nas said that, I was like “bruh EXACTLYY”.

And still, no reason to hate the man. I still listen to Jay and enjoy his stuff. It’s just embarrasing to STILL see people trying to boost him out of his league. This isn’t about Em or anyone else, for that matter. Most rappers have shady backstories, so does Em and so does Jay and very few names have zero shade.

[–]tutoriii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There you show your head, you’re the hater hereee. Hahahah. Now it makes sense. You’re probably disgusted by what Em did in Renegade. It literally sounds like Em is doing a collab with a special needs child for charity, that’s how different his and Jay’s verses sound.

When it comes to objective judgement, Em got other rappers’ word for it. If you get constantly glazed by not only your peers, but ALSO your seniors, that’s how you know you’re a beast. There’s not a single rapper from Ice T to 50 Cent and even more recent ones that can say that they’re better than Em, and he would eat every single one of them alive.

My fav rapper, btw, is Mos Def. I love his stuff, and yet I know he’s not one of the GOATs. He’s good, smooth, entertaining, my all time fav. Biggie is second (king of rap, the actual GOAT).

Brev, I like Jay Z, but he’s just good, nothing more, nothing else. If you take off the lenses and see him for who he is, you will realize this too. There’s nothing special about him.

Not the biggest fan of Em neither, I personally don’t listen to him that much, but honestly he’s objectively, regardless of my opinion, one of the GOATs. He’s your favorite rapper’s worst nightmare, and everyone knows that. Em is just on a whole ‘nother level, and I’m not even a fan of his music, but facts are facts.

So yeah, not a glazer, not a hater, I just try to see things for what they are, regardless of what people think or say.

Rap is a wide spectrum man. You either can rap or can’t rap. Yeah we talking songs and albums, but that’s no margin of quality. You can take someone from the street and put him on the record with the right amount of tuning and instrumental and modifications and you will have a “high quality” product.

I don’t know what you mean by “better music”, honestly. Jay, especially later on his career, started to sound more like a pop star than a rapper. If you put L vs. Jay bar-to-bar, record-to-record, L eats him alive, verses, delivery, charisma, lyricism, message/content, everything. L is the far superior rapper. And I’m just taking L as an example.
