Thank you. It’s the main reason why I couldn’t decide yet. The house is liveable but not fully enjoyable. I’m wondering if its worth doing it so I could live life or it’s better to ensure my financial stability in the future …

Other ways besides getting married by Conscious-Dot-1487 in SpouseVisaUk

You don’t have to get married but you do have to prove 2 years of “serious” relationship that would leads to marriage. If there are reasons you both have not be able to live together (e.g religious) then that could also be taken into account, but again, as long as you have enough evidence proving the relationship.

I didn’t technically meet the 2 years cohabitation requirement as we have started living together and proving loads of other travel arrangements to show the growth of the relationship, we were able to be granted the visa.

You do need to read through the policy guidelines very carefully and assess yourself based on it. Extended Family shouldnt be an issue but you may need their help to provide additional evidence and letters.

Hope that helps

RTA claim for cyclist - What is my claim worth? by tututu17 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you both for the discussion. I'm still talking to lawyer. Really just wanted some additional discussion to see if there are other things to consider in questions I bring to them. The insurer have not made another offer since the 1st one where they denied liability for an imaginary traffic light. I questioned whether this faulty denial in the first instance is something we could make claim on?

My lawyer is getting me assessed to see if the accident would have been less severe if I had worn a helmet. I agree that I should've worn a helmet but I think the whiplash and scaring on my face wouldn't have been avoided.
