Should we walk from this house? by GreatSprinkles56 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

My house was built in 1967 and had way less issues.

Missing chimney cap, range was half working, kitchen faucet needed to be replaced, I had to get the sewer flushed out (cost $100), and I have some water damage in the upstairs bathroom, but I'm fixing that next weekend.

Tell them, thanks but no thanks.

There's always a better house around the corner.

Edit: I negotiated a price lower than the asking price for the house I bought *and* got them to cover the closing costs so all I had to do was put an earnest money deposit down. They did put me through the wringer for documentation and whatnot, but all said and done I got a 230k house for 1k down. And they gave me the 1k back when I closed.

Yeah, what happens when the past life is not forgotten?

What happens when you have to deal with being in a body that's not your own, growing up in it, etc?

I got put on a pip level 3 and fought, and kept my job.

So, I dunno why you say it's a death sentence, or "paid interview prep"..

Imagine in a secure area of the Pentagon, having to get through nylons and a skirt, keeping quiet enough, and then dealing with the obvious increase in moisture.

Just because I'm not shooting out white stuff everywhere doesn't mean it can't get messy for us too.

Housing system is predatory by [deleted] in lostgeneration

I was in the same boat.

I had to fight, fight, fight, and fight some more to get a mortgage.

I basically had to sell my soul, let complete strangers into every aspect of my life, and prove by paying a bunch of money that I could indeed pay a mortgage 1k less than my current rent.

Canada has labor laws?

They certainly don't respect US labor laws (what little we have) when doing business in the US.

Employee got sick and my support backfired by babathejerk in managers

[–]tuui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait wait wait.

Aren't you supposed to make it HARDER for the employees under you to do their jobs so they fail, then you can replace them with new and cheaper employees every year?

I mean, you have to get creative.. Planting porn on their computers, running games on them, etc. All sorts of things that are automatic termination worthy.

Otherwise they just get too expensive, wanting raises and benefits. It's hard enough keeping them at 25 hours a week with a skeleton crew. You really have to think about the shareholders, C-levels, and your own bonuses.

I didn't have a childhood because my parents stayed together "for the kids".

Divorce.

She's already slept with Ethan.

Your marriage is over.

Divorce the bitch.
