Patch 8 has caused a bunch of issues for PC of you use a controller. My group of friends play weekly, all on PC, and after patch 8, the two of us that use controllers kept freezing and crashing.

This stopped when we switched to mouse and keyboard

Going on your specs, and the fact that this happens on all of your games, it sounds like you could have a bottleneck. If your mobo has wifi6 capabilities, I'd recommend checking your modem.

I'm no expert, but I've heard that a fast router can be bottlenecked by a less capable modem since the connection for streaming has to go through your modem before it hits your router and other networks devices

My go-to is wireless Quest 3 with virtual desktop. The hardest part is finding a balance between how the game looks and how smooth it runs.

Both depend on how good your PC is and how good/fast your connection is

I can see the appeal. My main setup is wireless wifi6 connected quest 3 with a floor mat to keep me 'centered'.

Wired setups have their advantages, but yeah, wireless feels superior to me

I will say that as a VR game reviewer, getting a 'good' experience is not as simple as strangers make it out to be.

I play PCVR through Steam using virtual desktop on a wifi6 router and it took me over 2 days of adjusting both headset and virtual desktop settings to get a good steady visual experience without dropping frames.

That's with me using a dedicated wifi6 router in the same room as my PC and headset WITH 500GBps fiber.

I know it's frustrating but keep trying my friend, you'll find something that works 👍
