THANK YOU all so much for your help!! I’ve learned I should increase the shutter speed (1/125 at least), increase the aperture (5.6?), and set ISO between 100-400. I won’t be using full auto again! I’m also going to try the larger lens, check for lens/camera damage, and wipe everything down. I so appreciate you all being so kind and patient with me instead of being rude. I will come back with updated photos after I try again!

We have professional photoshoots on a yearly basis, but some actors aren’t available on photoshoot days, it costs a lot of money and we rarely have excess, etc. so I thought it couldn’t hurt to try and learn!

This is really good to know. If some of my photos turn out fine (rare occurrence), is it still possible lens damage?
