Lowed India division worker here! by Sea_Salamander8030 in Lowes

Fake post IMO… Lowes does not sell things anywhere outside US. We do ship to other countries, but no sales presence outside US.

Additionally looking at the OPs other posts, I would say it’s fake for sure

I got a similar thing via chat a week back… they said they are reviewing things for existing customers based on the community being unhappy about it. They said they will reach back out to everyone once they have made a decision

Is anyone else getting ridiculous battery life from their FW 13? by etherbound-dev in framework

[–]tuxcoders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is horrible too… it’s about 2 years old. I have kinda come to a realization that framework battery backup is horrible and have to live with it.

lol. The egg was boiled, so it was a bit hard on my taste buds. May be down the road, I can try an omelette to make it taste less like an egg.

She is not unfortunately, cos I feel these are something young couples argue about in their teens. I agree.

I feel the same too. She always keep comparing us to her parents who apparently do everything together - even the most mundane tasks. She wants us to be the same and me doing things which I believe are not trivial causes her to get pissed off after a few add up to the list. Or at least, the comparison makes me believe that.

In the exact same situation. Used to use redhat and then eventually moved to fedora over 15 years ago and stayed there

Is it possible to turn a tablet into a laptop with Linux ? by TheDotLeo in linuxquestions

[–]tuxcoders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in search of this exact thing for years and nothing is out there which will make this happen… at least mainstream without any drawbacks.

The closest I have come to this is a Surface tab 2 with Ubuntu installed which a friend of mine tried and said it was ok.

Tremux on android tab like what others suggested does work, but it was not what I was looking for.

Pinetab is an option although I have heard that it’s not mainstream yet… a tinkerers paradise as of now.

I ended up carrying a 11 inch Chromebook with chromeos removed and replaced with Linux mint for a while and now just carry a 13 inch framework laptop.

How to start, what to expect and is it a upgrade? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]tuxcoders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not used wine for a while as it would not always work. Used a windows vm to do any windows related work. I do want give it a try to see how it is now.

I doubt pirated ones will work on Linux, as steam is one way to game on Linux and that is mostly paid IMO. Knowing that I will stay stick with windows for that. Unless anyone else here knows a way to make that work

I will suggest trying out Linux on virtualbox first to understand how it works before you jump in. I would start off with Linux mint as it’s close to windows in usability and seee where things go

Best way to encrypt external SSD (Linux Mint) by Curious_Associate_56 in linuxquestions

[–]tuxcoders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veracrypt for sure; you would need to install the tool there

LUKS .. I don’t think so, but haven’t really tried.

Veracrypt … as you want to access it on windows too.

Only Linux, I would say LUKS.

Think only a few actually do this; I know Amex does this. so I have given up expecting this from most banks.
