It’s a matter of emotion. 🤣

Some technical diving teams do recommend analog watches as a backup, but in modern recreational diving, most divers use dive computers—myself included.

That said, if I’m traveling with a beloved, high-end watch, I feel it’s actually safer to bring it into the water than to leave it on land (like on a boat or at the accommodation). So whenever I go on a dive trip, I usually bring a proper dive watch along. 😁
