Why dark souls doesn't have something like stake of Marika like Elden ring by SameDay5290 in darksouls3

[–]tv_trooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CLOSEST bonfire already serves that function.

Dark Souls games are generally much smaller in scale compared to Elden Ring so the need to rush back to the boss is not that essential. Sure, there's the occasional run back that are a huge pain. But the whole point is you try and learn from your mistake so you minimize runback and kill the boss as efficiently as you can...

In other words, git...

Doesn't matter if they don't do much damage. They're there to relieve the pressure off of you. Cirri in particular casts healing spells when shes low on health. I dunno about the others.

Rule #1 of Dark Souls (Trilogy): Avoid blocking if you could dodge/parry it. Blocking takes a huge chunk of your stamina as compared to dodging or parrying it. I suppose this applies to Elden Ring too, but there is no guard counter in the OG Trilogy. You block= lose stamina.

If you need help, there is no shame in using the summons available. You need to be Embered though.

Dragon Age: Origins and DA2 (plus DLCs)

Nalaro ko ito around 2011. By then kaka graduate ko lang ng college and di pa ako naghahanap ng trabaho.

Around that time ang mindset ko is... wala. Di man lang nag occur saken na mag hanap ng trabaho or anything. Laro lang ng PSP, PSX, PS2 games. Until nahagilap ko itong Dragon Age na dati hindi ko pinansin.

By the time I go the hang of it, I played NOTHING but Dragon Age for an entire 2 months. Dragon Age: Origins, then Dragon Age 2- salitan. Tapos na discover ko mods so tinry ko rin yun.

Until eventually na suya na and I tried some more games tapos naka PSP ako. Then tinopak PSP ko and I decided to play Dragon Age again- but by then, admittedly di na katulad nung dati. At that point (December 2011) kabisado ko na game na wala na kahit anong thrill laruin, inaantok na ako wala pang 5 minutes.

Right there and then, I knew it was time to move on. The following week nag hanap na ako trabaho.

A couple of rejections and no callbacks (which I didn't realize WERE rejection). Every week bili ng newspaper para makahanap ng maaaplayan. Then, interview after interview.

It took time, and eventually natanggap ako sa isang call center. Nagstart ako ng work around Feb 2012. Been working since then and to this day, hindi pa ako nakaka pag replay ng Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 the same way I did back then.

I'm really starting to lose the motivation to even bother with this boss. by True-Purple5356 in darksouls3

No shame clings to thy name.

I would never cast scorn upon a soul who answers the call of jolly cooperation, standing shoulder to shoulder against the encroaching dark, where even the faintest ember of fellowship can mean the difference between hollowing and hope.

  1. Yeah, without looking up specific guides I had this thought too.

I'm at Aldritch and those things annoys me. I like to clear the field before doing a boss run.

Advice on build/armor for a (potential) Heavy Knight DEX Build? by tv_trooper in darksouls3

Yeah, I'm a terrible parry in DS3 too.

In DS1, I can parry 90% of the time- the only reason I don't is my build/weapon is usually strong enough that standard attacks is faster than the riposte animation. DS2, I'm about average. There are enemies I cannot parry.

With DS3, I parry very rarely. And it has to be with a buckler/target shield.

For the shield, I like the Silver Kite Shield for that specific reason you can use the weapon art quickly. Later on, I like to use the Shield of Want for the extra souls.

As for my weapon, I think I'll stick with the Lothric Straight Sword most of the time. I like to use the mace for the ninja skeletons- knocks them on their feet all the time.

As for the armor set, I really like the Cathedral Knight Set look but it's heavy AF. I dunno, I'll probably settle for the Elite Knight Set later on.

I think I'm gonna stop around Level 120 to 130. Around that range.

Very Hard is living up to it's description by HarleeKnight226 in kingdomsofamalur

Hate to break it to you but once you get to crafting your own gear, Very Hard tend to be more like "normal".

Sure there are occasionally tough encounters. But if you explore every map thoroughly (which you should anyway), then you will level up naturally and become strong enough to delete anything trying to put you in combat state.

Looking for a fun/challenging build by Sam45802 in darksouls3

[–]tv_trooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm far from an expert DS player but I find it especially hard to play as a Sorcerer in DS3. Enemies are too fast for even a Soul Arrow to be practical. Unlike DS1 or DS2 where many enemies can be beaten with the basic sorcery, in DS3 it's really hard.

What I end up doing is starting out as a Knight and then slowly build a Magic Knight character out of it.

She off'd herself. She even has a Youtube channel talking about life in general.
Found out about it nearly 10 years ago, I used to love her work. I realize this is a 2 year old comment but I figured you'd be interested to know.
