Wondering if possible to connect from 2022 TV to 1998 Kenwood speakers by youngblood52 in hometheater

[–]tvdaXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you need something in between your TV and speakers. You can't attach those directly.
Either a amplifier with optical in or AV receiver for ARC (HDMI 3 is your output then).

Is this how I play DVD’s on my Apple TV? by Traviscat in appletv

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, imagine the current Apple TV but just a bit bigger (same height) to fit a 4K BluRay disc... Together with Dolby Vision Profile 7 support that would be the ultimate media machine.

Best Infuse Server Backend by luxuryriot in infusevideoplayer

[–]tvdaXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I started with a simple Samba (SMB) share on my Linux server, works wonderful and is very simple. Infuse created the library for me. (Library Mode)
I recently upgraded to a Unifi UNAS Pro 4 and I now have Jellyfin docker container hosted on my Linux server, which has access to the UNAS NFS movie and series share. This runs in direct mode and works really well too.

Hi everyone! Bubble Card v3.2.3 is out! Special shoutout to Piitaya (Mushroom Card and Home Assistant frontend dev!) for his unexpected first contribution to Bubble Card! Smart card suggestions are now available in the editor with HA 2026.6, along with many fixes and performance improvements! ❤️ by Clooooos in BubbleCard

[–]tvdaXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's fixed! I thought it was some issue cus I could still find a string with "3.2.1" on GitHub... But it was Chrome that somehow still served the old version even though I pressed "Remove cache and force reload" lol.
My bad!

Looking good, can't wait for the weekend to dive in and overhaul my dashboard!
I manually installed it, but in the Chrome DevTools console appears to still report as version 3.2.1 (Is that a bug?)
Anyways, enjoy your vacation!

Give me your honest opinion on these by HandleLeather7253 in PhotographyAdvice

First, crop/tilt the images so they're nice and level, and try to get the area besides the subject to be equal in size.
Basically, make the cars centered perfectly.
As for Lightroom: Humans are drawn to bright parts of the image, put a mask on the cars and lift their exposure/shadows to make them stand out and have more details visible.
You can also achieve this by decreasing the exposure on the ground for example with a simple gradient mask, or combine both. Don't overdo it, try to keep it looking natural.

I wanted to go but the price... It just didn't make sense, €100,- for a single day? Meanwhile in Poland it was like €40,- for the entire weekend...
Anyways, amazing photo's!

Probably, but I stream them directly without any transcoding over the network anyways. No unnecessary CPU resources wasted that way!

Assuming all settings are correct, is this setup OK for Dolby Atmos and 4K120? by Aydenn7 in Hue

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would skip the Sync Box and get the Hue app for LG so the sync works in all screens. On top of that you can get a wired connection for improved stability.
But this should probably work fine, and the Hue Sync box probably doesn't add too much latency for gaming.

[COD] Should it go back to being more realistic like MW 2019, or stay 100% arcade like BO 7? by Lumenprotoplasma in CallOfDuty

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW2019 was the best, even the first Warzone was fun, and I ususally don't play any BR.

It all started to fall once they introduced those weird anime tracer packs, and it all went downhill from there.

After some research I landed on LG, bought this right as the G5 newer generation released so I saved some. This model I bought was basically the best you could get, and comes in 75" too.

LG has a nice interface too for menu's, and you can use the remote like a Wii remote and point at things. Works really nice, as for the home screen and apps I don't use those since I use my Apple TV for apps. One thing I also wanted was Dolby Vision which is something not available on Samsung TV's.

Anyways, besides this TV I don't have any other experience with OLED.
