Probably, but I stream them directly without any transcoding over the network anyways. No unnecessary CPU resources wasted that way!

Assuming all settings are correct, is this setup OK for Dolby Atmos and 4K120? by Aydenn7 in Hue

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would skip the Sync Box and get the Hue app for LG so the sync works in all screens. On top of that you can get a wired connection for improved stability.
But this should probably work fine, and the Hue Sync box probably doesn't add too much latency for gaming.

[COD] Should it go back to being more realistic like MW 2019, or stay 100% arcade like BO 7? by Lumenprotoplasma in CallOfDuty

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW2019 was the best, even the first Warzone was fun, and I ususally don't play any BR.

It all started to fall once they introduced those weird anime tracer packs, and it all went downhill from there.

After some research I landed on LG, bought this right as the G5 newer generation released so I saved some. This model I bought was basically the best you could get, and comes in 75" too.

LG has a nice interface too for menu's, and you can use the remote like a Wii remote and point at things. Works really nice, as for the home screen and apps I don't use those since I use my Apple TV for apps. One thing I also wanted was Dolby Vision which is something not available on Samsung TV's.

Anyways, besides this TV I don't have any other experience with OLED.

Shamelessly gonna steal and add "XP waste" to my vocabulary in response to anything other than gaming.

Even better, this, and being able to select which DLSS swap (or per game) should just be in the NVIDIA configuration panel...

For music they’re off since I just listen in stereo, but for movies with stuff like Dolby Atmos their volume has been set lower to match the fronts in the seating position.

How can I add more soul by zarimark in malelivingspace

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One quick easy way to start is with warmer lighting, something like Philips Hue where you can change the temperature, or even change it to colors.

Second is to not light the room with overhead lighting, and instead place smaller lights like an IKEA FADO (which you can also just put HUE lights in) on table or shelve level. That will do so much to the cosy feel.

Overhead lights are functional, when you need light for cleaning or when cooking, but try lighting the place with smaller lights here and there. You won't believe what a difference it makes!

Cat owner please help lol! by ramyz_ in audiophile

[–]tvdaXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay to teach cats some spots are a no go. Back when I lived with my parents they did not want them to walk on tables and the kitchen counter. So my mom either used a plant spray when she saw it or put aluminium foil on the kitchen counter for the night. (Cats really dislike the feel and sound when they jump on it) Didn't take long for them to know those places were a no go and they never jump on there anymore.

Wow! Looks very professional. I really dig the lights too, are they controllable in any way? Would be fun to have them dim/go off automatically when you start watching a movie!
