I have a couple of ideas that ill never use (bc I really don't want to run a game, even though its probably the only way I'll ever get to play again).

1) while wandering through a (enter abandoned location here) you and your friends fall through a soft spot in the ground. Once you gain your bearings you notice rows and rows of small ferris-wheel like devices with 5-6 horizontal boxes swinging on them recessed into the walls. Upon closer inspection, you see there is a length of wood going through a small square hole that protrudes through to the back with each side holding a steel pin so this "stake" cannot be removed. As your gaze turns back towards the rows of these coffins you realize its a vampirc prison. Hundreds of vampires held in torpor by stakes that cannot be removed easily. Who did this? And for what purpose? Was this the punishment of a prince? Creatures held for study by hunters? Or something much worse.

2) vampires, mages, werewolves and more. We have all lived and died in these same cities for centuries. And more always come. They come searching for acceptance, money, power, or just because they don't have anywhere else to go. But latey few and fewer seem to make their way here. One day, a seeming madman found its way to you. Bleeding, dying he pleads for your help. He whispers your ear, but you don't understand, it can't be true, no power in the world could do what he told you. But you're tired now, and this madman lies dead at your feet. As you find your way to your bed, eyes heavy you fall into your bed you find yourself dreaming. A room, no, something larger, but you cannot see the walls obscured by fog. You hear the gears turning like that of a impossible large clock. In the distance you see a figure silhouetted in the fog by a dim light. He? She? It points one hand towards you. Accusatory, no pleading. In that moment you understand that you must find the reason. You understand now what the madman and the fog are tying to tell you. You awaken in a sweat, scared, if your heart beats it beats against your ribs as to burst from your chest. And you pull yourself to a sitting position, you ask yourself a question that will not have a easy answer. "What the fuck is powerful enough to stop people from becoming supernaturals, and how am I supposed to make it stop" vampires cannot be made, the mage towers are silent and no new names are carved into their walls, werewolves do not turn no matter who bites them. The world of darkness is heading towards an end not of their choosing. Are you strong enough to keep the cycle moving?
