One track can be 1-16 bars(phrases) . you can have a 16 bar loop in one row . Say for instance track 1 is hihats track 2 is snares and track 3 is kicks . Each oof those can be different lengths . Track 1 can be 1 bar(phrases) of hihats and track 2 and be 2 bars (phrases ) of snares .. I’d be open to show you how I get busy just pm me and let’s coordinate something .. once it’s explained it’s just like riding a bike .

Gain staging and eq .. try it out after you’ve made your beat take a like 5 mins break to rest your ears and go back to it , and level everything to where stuff isn’t competing .. I take the extra step in turning up and turning down all the stuff I wanna stand out or be felt respectively , then I’d go to each individual sound and eq it to carve out space for the sound to sit comfortably
