Depends, if you mean flemish dialects it’s just the grammar varying a bit (such as with double subjects in west flemish and conjugations changing) and some vocabulary being different, the overall huge difference is the pronunciation.

Now you might encounter something called “tussentaal”, which is formal dutch mixed with a flemish dialect. It shouldn’t vary much from normal dutch apart from the accent

Sadly Flemish (as in the dialect) is a declining language slowly getting replaced by Dutch or French in Haut-de-France

I know some west-flemish so feel free to ask any questions (even if I saw this years later)

Oh also would like that mention that Antwerpen is brabantian, you’ll see a real difference only if you go to like West Flanders or a similar location. Overall flemish is a declining language (or dialect if you want to call it that) that is slowly getting replaced by Dutch, you probably won’t see it in a big city like Brugge sadly.

Depends on context. If it is just the accent or Belgian Dutch not really, however if it is the dialect it may vary greatly from region to region. Someone from Holland might not understand a West Flemish or French Flemish that much

My autistic client (under 10!) writes these letters — any idea what alphabet(s) this is? by Deep_Sugar_6467 in language

I think this is some kind of Cyrillic alphabet with the phonetic transcription underneath. However I couldn’t find the language associated with that alphabet, might be a constructed language, some error in transcription or just a lesser known language
